Am I the only one who despises Nunu?

I'm shocked there's barely anything on the boards about him, considering his popularity and how annoying he is to play against. His presence in any game pretty much completely sucks the fun out of it, at least for the enemy jungler. He is near impossible to get out of your jungle and nobody can out-bully him early game. And, unless you are a five man premade, it's also difficult to get your laners to help out against getting him out of your jungle, since he can just ice ball you and waltz away with your buffs.

Pretty much. Bc if he keeps a farm jungle down then he brings more utility and wins by default since he makes his team a lot stronger.

Except Nunu with Frozen Heart, Randuin's Omen and Thornmail combined with Ice Blast (E) and Absolute Zero (R) makes the Enemy AD Carry as worthless as Nunu is, too.

Eh, I think most people's opinion would change if Nunu becomes more popular and run into an annoying counterjungler they can do nothing about without teammate's cooperation every 2 games. His low solo que pick rate is what made him dodge a lot of bullets from the community hate.

I initially tried learning nunu with the attitude of "how can I help my team?" and sucked at him. Later I tried learning him using the mindset of "how can I be the biggest a-hole possible." and went on a massive win streak. On a side note, I play teemo when I have a bad day and went to share my misery. I play nunu when I've had a horrible month.

You should've seen him when counterjungling actually mattered. Oh, the humanity. I loved crushing cancer champs with one easily as cancerous. It was glorious. I've made multiple people ragequit as Nunu-- and I'm not even that good.

I mean, counterjungling still matters when you're playing against a Nunu. Him stealing all your major jungle camps means you have to spend more time catching up farming while he's ganking, and it's typically more dangerous for you as a jungler going against him to try to counter-invade since he can lock you down with ice ball spam (unless you can hop walls).

I meant in general, as in, counterjungling means less in this jungle than it did in the old. Sure, it's still a component of the jungler role, but it hardly has the impact it did once. That was when Nunu was a terrifying monster who could make it a 4v5 and ensure it stayed that way. Counterinvasion isn't dangerous unless laners get involved. Nunu is a guerilla. He hits and he runs. If you get him in a conventional fight, you will destroy him. Unless you eat an ult or something.

lol, if he steals all of the jungle's gold, won't that mean he can easily take dragon and have their jungler's buffs so they have little chance of bursting him down. And his ult does absolutely tremendous damage if no one can cancel it, or everyone is forced to use their escapes

It's actually harder to counterjungle someone into irrelevancy now. More camps, different timers, more contested neutral monsters, etc. You can still make a difference doing it of course, but being a dedicated counter jungler means less than it did. You have to gank and do other stuff.

As for ult, it's better for forcing flashes and mobility moves than actually hitting. Most people are smart enough not to take the full brunt of it, so it's more useful as area denial or ambushes.

Exactly. Oh man, I felt so bad for all those Amumu's who lost their first blue to me. A couple of seasons ago, if you NEEDED a blue start, losing blue was disastrous. Now I mean.. still bad, but you're not sunk.

Yeah but s3 when you could grab buffs and seriously out level them. :D no better feeling than having a full 3 levels up on the enemy jungle. No way you do that now. Just too hard to keep their EXP down.

:D Season 3 before they gave the little lizards and golems at the buffs more of the camp EXP. Lol just noms on their buff and set them so far behind in EXP. It was so stupid OP and no one in bronze or silver ever banned him. Pretty much any game w/ an udyr in enemy jungle or top was a 50/50 on making them rage quit since nunu would get leveled and just kite soooo hard lol.

And, as far as I know, tank junglers are absoulte sh*t aganist him, even gragas with his % hp damage can't do anything to him. If in ranked someone first picks nunu, then pick a high threat early jungler like LeeSin or and snowball your lanes.

And if you really do wanna give the nunu player a taste of his own medicine, pick a good duelist jungler like Trundle and bop his head when he shows his smug face at your buffs

Gnar This little dude is pretty good to have in the top lane when the enemy has Nunu. The slows and the % damage really help take him out of you're top jungle.

nunu outfarms very hard with a free minion kill every 10 or lower seconds and heals from it. His ice ball also has very high base values and 80-100% ap ratio with an ult of, is it max 150% ap ratio and 1000 base? if he's not cancelled, he will "smite" you all

Nunu's such a piece of shit and deserves to get gutted. Everything about him apart from his ult is poorly designed from an opponents point of view (at least he's usually stuck in the Jungle where player interaction isn't as common), which is a shame since his ult is really great. Powerful with an awesome AP ratio but possessing multiple forms of counterplay as well as decision making for Nunu himself.

Nunu has suffered some major nerfs in the past at least. There was a time when a 60% MS and AS targeted slow at level one was considered okay. Dark times. His counterplay hasn't really changed though, just power cut off.

At least you haven't experienced the Nunu + Kalista bot lane. Now that is fucking scary. Nothing quite like giving Kalista movement and attack speed, lowering that of the enemy carry, and let's not forget the Fate's Call + Absolute Zero Wombo Combo.

To be honest, engaging with Absolute Zero is pretty pointless.

It's best used in the thick of a fight as mass peel for your team.

Or, if you had, say, i don't know, a champion that could throw you into their team withuncurable hard CC to prevent them from escaping Kalista , followed by a free channel of his ult to it's full potential, you can use it to just completely scatter their team at worst, or deal a crapton of magic damage without building AP at best.

Nunu is annoying, but I find him less overall impacting in a teamfight than a lot of champions if your team isn't stupid.

I exclusively play carry junglers and Nunu makes my life hell.

Nothing like playing Hecarim, Master Yi or Shyvana with 30 CS at the 10 minute mark because Nunu took everything to frustrate you.

In high ELO, he is a big problem. Taking drags left and right and stealing buffs. It is just late game though, he should at least have item 3151 for some for m of damage.

i mean, if he is in your jungle....nobody should be in his.....and also if he is in your jungle....feel free to gank and make others lives hell....

if your trying to go camp for camp vrs nunu your going to lose, better off trading stuff aka your jungle for his, or gank in the meantime...otherwise just ward up and try to plan an attack when he goes in with pings...and if your teammates actually see him going in as opposed to you just saying he is there in the fog of war will make people more inclined to help

He's outdated, his kit is crap and works only by being toxic(like veigar's). He's beyond broken as a jungler at the moment. Take him, spam him as much as you can(you and everyone else) so they are FORCED to do something about him. It's worked every time so far, I don't see why it wouldn't work now.
