I noticed that he is mostly played in midlane, but is viable in bot lane. His major core item is Manamune. And that's all I know apart from his q,w,e, and r. Is there a build path that you guys can suggest? (Any tips and tricks?)

/ pretty much focuses entirely on your Q and making it hit as hard as possible. kind of one-dimensional, but it works very well so it tends to see a lot of play

does what you'd expect an ADC to do, mostly. runaan's is amazing because of his W passive, so you're more about dealing lots of damage with AAs and mixing in your abilities to pop the stacks. scales better and i personally prefer it, but your mid game isn't as good and you aren't as safe as you will be with the poke build

darkdill1 votesMostly you'll want to go with raw AD and maybe a Runaan's Hurricane if you want to apply Blighted Quiver to multiple targets, but you should go with less AS/Crit than someone like Ashe. Varus needs more raw AD for his Q and E to hurt. Muramana is nice on him, though you'll want some CDR to go with it so you can spam Q's.
Varus is best played when you can combo with someone like Sejuani, Amumu or Malphite, who can set up your Chains of Corruption.
