i spent 3 weeks to get gold 5 from silver 4 with taric support in taiwan server
(being a plat 5 in na but now living in asia for some times) I queue alone only. weekday (only be able to play at night, 3-4 games) weekend (afternoon and night, around 10 games) I think I did it within 80 games. of course few games I didn't get support role so I use other champions. 90% of games I get S/A range grading (may be I am lucky to get some good team but my grading also be a proof of that I am doing well).
