Imbalanced Matchmaking

1.) I have been matched with lower skilled players in each of my last 3 promo series, which is greatly hindering my improvement. 2.) I have been matched consistently with players I have previously blocked. 3.) Does Riot matchmaking system intentionally make promotional games difficult?

1.) What qualification are you using to define them as "Lower skilled"? 2.) Blocking people only works for chat, not matchmaking. 3.) Promos feel harder because, they mean more. In Match Making I have cruised through my Bronze 1 to Silver V promo 3-1, and then been unable to get out of Silver III. Just comes down to Team Comp, communication, and attitude.

1.) Low skill to me means many games with a champion, yet still feeding/negative KDA. I have seen this in Bronze and Silver so far, which further causes me to believe the ranking system is either not skilled based or is inaccurate.

2.) Blocking should work for matchmaking, seeing as reporting people for intentionally feeding is not a bannable offense. Players should have more control over the player pool and have a better opportunity to scout and remove poor or unskilled players.

3.) I disagree. I check LoLNexus before every Ranked game. More often than not, I am matched with multiple people who have negative KDAs in my first in last promo games. Right after I lose and are demoted, I am matched with players who have a more even KDA ratio. This isn't a rare occurrence. I have noticed this continuously in Ranked games. I experienced it 5 times alone trying to get promoted from Bronze 3 to Bronze 2, only to be placed with unskilled players and demoted again.

Riot has admitted to rigging promos to make it harder for you to win. It's a marketing strat to make people play more games.

Not being sarcastic.

Where has Riot admitted this at? Can you provide a link or video to confirm this?

Wow... I posted on the forums and now I'm banned for another two weeks?? I know I haven't cursed in the nor have I used any deroggative language. Why do I keep getting banned for two weeks off from in-games reports, but feeders and trolls are allowed to play and feed every game? Using new champs in ranked games, but I'm the one who gets banned?? The Tribunal is bullshyt.

Are we not allowed to type during the games or what? Is critiquing players not allowed? Are we just suppose to ignore and let them keep feeding games?

Seriously. These automatic bans are stupid. I haven't even received the email so I can see what I was accused of.

It seems like the more games you play, the higher the possibility of you getting reported and banned for petty things.

Okay, for one, your attitude is pretty terrible. Two, consider using the edit button instead of posting four top-level comments on your own thread. It makes you sound desperate.

Now to deal with your complaints. 1.) Comes down to luck of the draw, I think. How much "lower skilled" are we talking here? 2.) I believe that "blocking" someone consists only of a mute, yes? Are they still muted? If not, this may be a bug. 3.) I don't believe we have a direct answer on this one, but the logical response is "yes." If you can't beat opponents who are better than the people you "should" be playing in your current division, you shouldn't be moving to a higher one.

You may be one of the many jerks who continue to make this gaming community continue to decline. Your opinions of me were not asked for nor informative.

1.) When there is a "matchmaking system in place that is intended to promote fair gameplay," matchmaking should not be "luck of the draw" as you say. It should be just and accurate based on skill, not on a MMR that is too dependent on others.

2.) Blocking SHOULD be applied to matchmaking for obvious reasons.

3.) You fail to realize this is a team game. Regardless of my play, I have no control over other players. To ignore the fact that feeders can greatly decrease anyone's (including you) chances of winning is not only naive, but arrogant. You aren't even level 30, so I doubt you would understand. Don't reply back with this is my smurf account either, which is another issue within League in itself.

1.) No, it shouldn't be luck of the draw, but it is. This will always be the case, to some extent, unfortunately. Your other response indicated that you think anyone with negative KDA is "unskilled." This is not a very good indicator-- after all, on average half of the players in a game will have negative KD. 2.) If you can remove people from your player pool, while presumably keeping them on the enemy team, then whichever team has played with less trolls/feeders has a distinct disadvantage because they're more likely to get one this game. 3.) I'm honestly not sure what your point is here. And no, this isn't a smurf.

1.) I think you misunderstood the concept of a system and how it works. If the system is intended to be imbalance, this should be transparent and Riot should address it.

1b.) Yes, I think anyone with a negative KDA is unskilled. I'm taught that each death is equal to a mistake that player made, including myself. I feel any player who averages over 9 deaths a game is detrimental to any team he is on.

2.) I stated nothing about "keeping them on the enemy team." If a player is blocked and reported for feeding and/or unskilled, this should be applied to his or her account, MMR, and/or ELO. Grouping players with similar KDAs can create more competitive games.

3.) Quite frankly, you are not level 30, which means you possibly have not played in a Ranked game and experienced the matchmaking system inconsistency. You shouldn't make a generalized response to subject you aren't knowledgeable in.

I would like to believe when placed in this situation, that they expect you to be the one carrying the team.

I've heard this before and I do try my best to carry as an ADC main, but it becomes increasing more difficult as other lanes either feed or fail to push their lanes consistently. On the other hand, why should any player be expected to carry when they players are suppose to be closely matched?

From my perspective, having one person getting outplayed and feeding in a game is understandable. This is where the Jungle or a Roaming Mid comes in handy. But when you have top lane losing lane, dying, and not calling mias, mid is going to have a difficult staying focused when they are consistently be ganked by the enemie's jungler or the enemy top roaming and teleporting.

This game has many inconsistencies and I feel that at least having the matchmaking as accurate as possible should allow the focus to be placed on reducing mistakes and effectively communicating with your team.
