Taric is the solution

Your rune page should be armor quns, armor marks, armor seals and armor glyphs. yes. Lots and lots of armor! This is because riven mainly deals physical damage so it's logical to take that set up

You can smash her to fragments with shatter and stop her tracks with dazzle. she can't say no to taric's stun

Also, you should go and 5 pots. Then you can either choose the frozen gem or the Frozen fist. Those items are both outrageous

Watch riven mains cry over the fabulous man himself, taric. I hope this helped you all to know outrageous ways to shrek riven with lots of gems. take TP and go top lane

I prefer Garen , those gems are just too outrageous for me.

Garen with a cloth 5 start, Riven practically heals you in the early game, it's hilarious.

Taric top actually works , this isnt even sarcastic. I've seen it destroy alot of teams from having someone so tanky with that much substain. LOL.

Or you could do the same thing with Malphite, cuz he's actually viable as a primary initiator. Taric's dinky stun won't do crap in lategame teamfights. Not to mention that you're beyond fucked if Riven decides to just rush a hydra, permashove the wave because you do no damage and then go harass your jungler/midlaner while you're busy burning mana trying to cs under tower. Or if they pick a flex midlaner that can go top too and they just swap. Or if she TPs bot because she brings a lot more to a skirmish than Taric does.

Seriously, if you want to stack armor as a toplaner in ranked do yourself a favour and pick Malphite.

If you are not hyper retarded then riven is not a problem ever, like I even win with fucking vladimir against her because she is horrible trash right now. Like seriously, this guy has one of the weakest earlygames in the whole game and if you play it correctly you even counter her at the early levels. You really need to be horrible to get killed in lane by that champion after the nerfs.

I destroyed a Riven today with Darius . Who needs mobility when she has 4 dashes to come close to you? :P So many people don't realise that fighting the Dunkmaster is a bad idea when he is about to hit 5 stacks of bleeding on you...

umm, OP has played a single game as top taric, there was a riven on the enemy team, and he lost that game with 11 deaths

Just try not to go too ham early because Riven has BS cd that will be up before yours, once you get level 6 and have you're first item you should be able to rekt Once you get ice born gauntlet (if you decide too) you one shot minions waves with W-Auto and your heal keeps you gud in 1v1 trades + your abilities have practically no cd if you string them correctly because his passive reduces cooldowns by 2seconds after using a skill and auto attacks, also meaning you have your ultimate on a low cooldown as well :) getting max cdr is pretty important if you decide to go for a really tanky build as Gemcraft is a large portion of your damage I usually run item 3025 item 3110 item 3065 for my cdr items giving me 40%, I don't build it in that order tho lol

It's a great idea very good at upsetting one, if you can make her lose her broken wings she'll start losing lane. the problem only being once she has a quicksilver/ banshee veil and a last whisper there's not alot a taric can do against her though hopefully by then you'll be team fighting

I had someone facing the old Taric top with that broken passive on my team as the old Fiora .

He had 550 armor, and dealt outrageous damage.
