Congratulations, you killed URF just like you wanted.
April 1st, 2014. URF was an April Fools day joke that was supposed to last one single day. Instead, the out-pouring of happiness and support made people request that it be extended, which it was twice to a full featured mode length of two weeks. All year long, people wore their URF icons and requested it be permanent because of how fun it really was.
April 1st, 2015. URF returned and with it came new icons, ward skins, and more requests to make this extremely fun and entertaining mode full-time. However, it appeared all was not right within Riot because this designed "one day" prank was turning out to be more popular than anything they had put out previously.
April 2016. Riot decides in their infinite wisdom that two-week long game modes are not as popular towards the end and therefore, need to be limited to a weekend. Hence, weekend game play of limited time rotating game modes. Now, playing URF for two years, I can attest to the fact that statistic is bullshit since I've played and at any time, night or day, the entire two-weeks was PACKED full of people who wanted to play and have fun.
So they shut it to three days, but you know, that just wasn't enough because people kept demanding it again and again.
Now, we have "AR URF" which is an all random no ban URF. And what do we get nearly every single game, constantly?
We get the cancer team consisting of one of the following:
EVERY SINGLE GAME, with at least one more usually involved. Almost every one of the four games I played so far has included super fed Xin, Teemo, and usually at least one of the other champs mentioned. It is one sided as hell and ends up being anything but fun, just like it was designed, eh?
You finally did it guys, you killed the only thing that we actually liked. I'm never playing this godawful mode again and would advise anybody else thinking about it to wait for regular URF, period. Normally, I oppose the concept of bans but in this mode, certain champions should simply NOT be allowed to be selected especially the same general pool of ridiculously broken ones.
Congratulations, you killed URF!
