I just got my first ban ever after getting a 1v5 quadra (penta got stolen by sejuani) and saying "gg im afk" on all chat. i was only joking, i doubt anyone took this seriously. i never went afk intentionally or started a surrender vote.
so if you're on euw, just dont write anything at all if you dont want to risk getting permabanned.
Send in a support ticket, and don't joke about afking.
Joking about AFK is a terrible thing to do. It puts the whole team on edge. We have to worry "Is he joking? Do I need to play stupid, like not securing kills so that he can try to secure it to keep him happy?"
It throws everyone out of whack. Maybe permabanned is too much, but definitely it is something you shouldn't do.
this really worries me because I get disconnected so much and have to go fix the connection due to bugs or just random causes
Considering the amount of people that DO AFK, and I have no way of knowing if you're just joking or "just joking," yeah. It's not fun for your teammates to have to decide what exactly you're doing.
There are other ways to joke around/express frustration than saying something that is only going to risk annoying the entire team.
Hmm, from what i've heard people don't get permabanned straight away from a clean record. Is it possible you were punished before? If so, for what? Did you get a message stating your "gg im afk" comment was the reason you got banned?
If your comment is the only reason you got banned and you were never punished before then this is baffling.
