What's the point of being a Midlaner with this autofill system?

Hey there. I'm gold ll, and I usually take Mid as my primary role and Top as secondary role when it comes to ranked games, and one thing that makes me upset is that I play Mid like 20-25% of the time, really! Either I get autofilled to Support or go Top, and when I finally get Mid, someone has to leave champion select, so I rarely play Mid, how unlucky! I think Riot doesn't get that most players would rather wait a few more minutes to get the lane they want so they bring their full potential to the game! Getting the secondary role is ok, but getting autofilled is something there's a lot of questions to put onto! When I get autofilled I won't be able to give my true potential to the game, which is bad to my teammates, I would rather wait more 10 minutes than getting autofilled to be honest. I think the autofill system was a mistake, I know that in higher elos I might get hard to find 2 teams with all the 5 roles, since some roles are way more popular than others and there's less people avaiable to match-up with, but autofill is defenitively not the solution, even though you get autofill protection for the next 2-3 games. Not to mention that putting ''Fill'' as a role makes you go Supp like 80% of the time in higher elos. That's just what I think, thanks for reading and feel free to comment.
