As much as point-and-click instant cc sucks, it helps balance the game.
Annie, Ryze, Nautilus, Fiddlesticks, Malzahar, Warwick, and the list goes on. We despise of point-and-click cc because it has no counterplay. However, we also despise mobility creep. Tell me how this makes sense? Let's take Morgana for example. Second longest-lasting hard cc in the game(ashe max-range ult is 3.5 second stun). It isnt point and click. Kalista, Ekko, Lucian, Gnar, Azir, all champs with mobility just simply dash out of the way. Now, let's take Ryze. Instant point-and-click snare. You cant dodge something that cant miss. Kalista is now snared and she can be locked down and taken out, granted your team follows up with more cc. See the difference? Ryze snare doesnt last as long as morg's, and it doesnt do as much damage, but it's better in many ways simply because it isnt dodgeable. IT COUNTERS MOBILITY CREEP. Annie's long af stun is dodgeable if you are playing a champ with said retarded mobility. That is, unless she uses her q. Boom, long-range, instant stun, and it hurts like a bitch too. That Kassadin that always riftlimped away is now locked down. Kass is squishy. Boom, he's dead. See the logic here? It balances the current state of the game, which focuses on mobility. Does your champ have any sort of mobility? No? He's not viable then. As much as I like playing champs like Mordekaiser and Nunu, they are screwed if they get caught out. Nunu atleast has cc and movement speed buff, but morde? Of course, some champs get around this, such as annie. Why? Because she has that point-and-click stun that counters kalista that is picked every single fucking lcs game.
