Fizz's "Playful/Trickster" - Should the Ability be Reworked?
I wrote this to Riot during the "Ask Riot" opportunity and want to see what the community thinks. Please chime in your thoughts.
Dear Riot, I wondered if you plan to fix Fizz's code so his "Playful/Trickster" interacts with the game more accurately?
Currently the "Playful Trickster" move avoids certain types of damage or effects in a way that doesn't make sense. Like air-to-ground attacks, attacks which would still hit the Trident even if they applied no damage to Fizz, and already applied effects.
If Fizz uses "Playful Trickster" and another champion uses an ability which would still hit the stick, or would hit Fizz from the air, it does not cause Fizz to receive any ill-effects.
For example: Jarvan IV's Banner and Spear drag (Lovingly known as the Swag-Flag-Drag): Hits the Trident Fizz is on, but does not knock him into the air, or out of "Playful Trickster." One of these effects should happen.
Jarvan's Ultimate is airborne, and should also do one of these things even if Fizz cannot take damage.
If another Fizz applies his ultimate to another Fizz, then the affected Fizz activates "Playful Trickster" said affected Fizz avoids all effects and damage though the massive shark encompasses both Fizz and his Trident.
Fizz needs a major rework:
There's a plethora of League champion abilities which should still hit Fizz, but do not. I would be willing to parse through the entire list and compile things which should affect Fizz while he is perched atop the Seastone Trident.
The main criteria I would like considered:
-
Ability effects which have already been applied (such as a successfully applied Fizz Ultimate on another Fizz) should complete its effects and damage.
-
Ability effects which hit the stick should allow Fizz to be knocked out of "Playful Trickster" while taking no damage. Thus preventing the second cast of "Playful Trickster."
-
Air-to-Ground effects which were already targeted should knock Fizz out of "Playful Trickster", preventing the second cast, and causing damage. (He effectively just got smashed into his own Trident)
Would you consider these criteria and a re-work to bring more balance to Fizz's gameplay?
