AFK players are a nasty liability during invades, hate when folks start the game move out of fountain and leave their computer. Your gonna have to be willing to abandon a camp in situations like that, especially when they have a numbers advantage. I recommend you communicate to your top bot and mid when you get early invades or just fall behind a champion and are at risk, for them to trinket jungle entrances. Try to snag a red ward, I know your behind on gold but the 75$ it cost you is gonna be worth it every time you avoid losing your life or camps. Assassin junglers are gonna be feast or famine, just their kits. This is pretty nasty when you have to vs a enemy assassin jungler that's got a lead. Rango does not have the best escapee options in his kit. If your in a MMR your unable to rely on teammates, and your struggling with invades, it may be better for you to change to a different jungler. Its fine if you overall have more games that are you crushing with him, but if your constantly struggling it seems silly to me to stick with him when you have other options. When your behind, let team know your back, try to communicate to them to play cautiously as you attempt to recover. A lot of folks wont and will QQ at you when they over extend and die, or when their lane pushes up and your unable to help, but a gold starved assassin that's underleveld is not much of a threat to any high HP champions and if you don't get a window your unable to make plays. If you really hate that and games like that you may want to change to a different champion type as there are many other playstyles besides the assassin playpattern.
Not much you can do to save teammates from feeding sides putting up some vision for them, but you dying trying to protect red, and you dying to Lucian at krugs are plays that you had control over, got to stay aware of what risks you run. Less vision = more risks. don't see threats on mini need to be ready to deal with them at any given time.
Game balance is not built around everybody's good, always n everywhere, its built around giving you choices. After that its on you to make a good one. You can OTP Rango, hell you can do it and have huge impact in a lot of games. Theres gonna be times that he is not the right choice thou, and there is gonna be matches your low to negative impact on the round.
