Why i hate Bot lane

Everytime i go bot lane its always the same supports being picked , The rest dont even exist

why pick the rest when you can pick any of those 5 and do what they do but better? and that won't change with tanks being the norm since they are even more vulnerable to tanks

Depends on how skilled you are.

Lulu can go toe-to-toe with all of those except Blitz (his burst is just a little too fast, I admit).

Sona can go against Janna and Morgana, but the others are kinda... her counters.

Braum This guy is like the reverse-Leona. He is the defensive tank support all the way.

Nami is a decent match-up against them as well. An AD boost similar to Janna's shield, sustain AND point-and-click splash damage, and cc bubbles that can be aimed past the minion wave.

Annie just shits on Morgana and Janna because lack of reaction time. Not quite sure how she fairs against Thresh and Blitz.

Soraka ONLY IF YOU GOT A GOOD ADC (so basically not solo queue)

Fiddlesticks Silence, fear, self-sustain, and an ultimate that acts as hook-repellent

Zilean If you got the skill, that ult will save your adc

Syndra Only if you're a masochist, really skilled, or just want to show the world your potential is limitless.

Taric Ranged cc, sustain that scales off health, armor shredding against tanks, armor steroid passive that also gives your adc armor passively, and an ultimate that gives both you and your adc a little AD boost. Plus he's a tank. Watch Blitz grab you. Watch him cry as you ult and hit the carry for massive damage.

Nautilus CC UP THE BUTT

Lux Like Morgana but with LAZER BEAMS

Galio Tanky, and I think he can support...?

Anivia You'll be good bait, that's for sure.

Alistar A good Thresh and Blitz will never grab the tank. You are the tank. Make them grab you. Pulverize the adc.

Bard Okay, I have nothing. Maybe dodge Leona's solar beam, but... Yeah, this guy escapes me.

I dont even know. Bard is meant to chase and secure kills; like soraka, he requires a good ADC to be effective.

Just tried him in a bot game for fun.

I think he can be effective for tower diving if you do it right, ulting the tower but missing the carries. His aa isn't too bad with enough meeps, it's like having a free Ashe Q and a support level lich bane.

But, for the love of god... I was playing a BOT game and the adc kept ignoring my health packs, so much that I eventually got fed up and supported mid lane who actually loved taking my health packs. -_-

Their excuse?

"I didn't see it."

AFTER I PINGED FIFTY TIMES WHEN THEY WERE LOW ON HEALTH TO SHOW WHERE IT WAS.

Yeah, the ADC needs to be semi-decent to play with Brad.

"brad" Hah. We should have a skin where bard is a "gamer dude" wearing a riot shirt and jacket, and swings a mouse instead of a chime. His meeps can be various logos; furfoxes, evil-es, chroma wheels.

people not taking bards health packs is as much a problem as people taking them to soon. Its also silly how many people dont understand that his tunnel works for everyone.

Everytime i go support i like to go Sona but pretty much her counters are being played more and more, and my adc actually tells me " no no dont go Sona go someone like Blitzcrank Thresh Leona and get me fed, which annoys me. i stopped going Lux support because im jinxed, everytime i go her, the enemy adc is always Kalista . i would like to see more supports being played to keep things intersting

Draft pick might be the way to go.

The trick to beating those three anyway is poking them down, which you can do as Sona. If you can dodge their hooks, you got about ten seconds to beat them up.

I've been practicing Zyra support a lot recently. I know people consider her to be trash, but I enjoy it. Not everyone only plays those champions.

Wish it was like that in Bronze. We get Amumu Orianna Chogath Rammus Ashe {{champion:35} Aatrox Ahri Syndra supports that steal CS, don't peel, and refuse to build a gold income item :D

Cho support is actually outstanding, build him item 3401 and you also have great knockup for harass/peel and if an assassin tries to dive your ADC you silence them and they end up being the ones getting killed.

Also, Orianna Ashe Syndra are officially tagged as supports.

Yeah, the thing about Cho is that he doesn't have engage or disengage. He's like Vel'koz without the deathray. He can like spam some harass...some of it will hit...but then he'll be oom, half health, and uselessly standing there stealing your CS. He can't do anything for the ADC. Every time I have the misfortune of playjng with one we just have to hug tower and wait until laning ends.

Same problem with Ori and Syndra. Yeah, they have "utility" but they aren't going to help you win lane at all. Ashe is a bit different, she can hold her own presence in lane, it's just like Syndra and Ori she can't tank anything. Ashe will work if the enemy team can't engage (like if they're stuck with a cho...), but if they can engage (ie they have an actual support) Ashe can't do anything. Neither her or the ADC can handle being focused by 2 champs long enough to kill something.
