Dear Riot, You say you listen to what the players want, well I personally would like a west and East Coast server. I have spent oodles of cash on your game (more than i would like to admit) and would like to feel respected as a customer. I understand that you lowered the ping for 75% of players, good job. Yet, a true fix would not require the sacrifice of 1/4th your player base. I would love to keep playing league, however, as a consumer I refuse to be trampled on. A real solution to the Ping issue would make the game better for EVERYONE.

They appealed to the masses. Really It's high time the West Coast deal with some of the crap ping the rest of us have had to deal with. While mine only dropped from 80-30, most others I know had their ping drop from 100/150-50-80. That's a huge improvement. Deal with it

lol why do you hate people on the West Coast so much? Its not my fault your ping was bad, why don't you redirect that anger bud.

Note how you got the downvotes....Not much I can do for ping when I'm on the East Coast competing against people on the West Coast when the server was on the West Coast. They naturally have better ping and more reaction time. This move evens the playing field for most people versus having one side completely dominant in ping while the far side being thrown by the way side. How about getting off your high horse and understanding that it's now time for you to have to think a little faster and be a little quicker to win your games. You aren't even experiencing the full effect we had. How about we move the server to say.....North Carolina and see how you fair then. What do you say to that? Want to keep complaining about ping now?

Let's examine this. 75% of the players see their ping reduced....they listened to what we wanted. Specifically looking at the words "well I personally would like." Let me stop you right there. You are not the masses. You and the 25% who see their ping rise a small tiny bit need to shut up and deal with it. It's what you told all of us on the East Coast all this time when the distance to the server for us was much much farther than the move has made you.

Well i personally never said anything to west coast players, and thinking faster doesn't make my ping go faster. I'm sorry you're bitter over the crappy ping you had to deal with for the past couple years. I have no idea why you would take your frustration out on West Coast players, it seems a bit miss directed. League is a competitive game and moving my ping from 30-120 is not a small jump. 120 ping renders a large number of champions like yasuo, riven, or fiora nearly unplayable. I am happy that Riot finally helped the East Coast with its ping. However, it also gave an unfair advantage to the east coast (and i am aware that the west coast had this advantage before). If 120 ping is not that bad according to you, then Riot should have an option for the West Coast to have its own server so that 25% of players (which is a very large population) can chose to play the game they enjoy competitively. If not, then Riot should balance Ping and make everyone play with 120 ping because after all according to these posts its "playable."

People are only saying they like their ping is because its better then what it use to be but for everyone else its worse. Mine jumped about 40 ping more plus lags and spikes. Personally there should be west and east servers or Canada and usa servers one of the two because freaking Europe doesn't need two flipping servers

Pretty sure trying to balance out so all-players are within the same ping-level and on-screen reaction speed level is the best thing that could've been done.

East coast players tolerated 100-133 ping on a daily basis before the server change. i've played for going on 5 years now, and I was always around the 120 mark -- It didn't affect my gameplay, but it was apparent when I was playing against someone on the west-coast with superior ping rates. It wasn't a fair playing field for those who had a ping-based disadvantage.

Sorry, but you're going to have to get over the servers becoming centralized. 25% of the US-League playerbase is not enough to dedicate a server too -- are you saying you'd enjoy waiting 40 minutes for a game, with a 10% risk per player that they may dodge the game, or AFK when they've finally ended up in-game? The population to dictate a server for the west-coast isn't large enough. If our population was Russia-sized? Sure. But US sized? Not even financially worth it, let alone, a singular server is much more easier to manage.

These are all very good points, but going from low ping to 95+ ping is no fun. I'm not looking to argue. I understand that you are happy now because you have better ping. If you where in My position you would be pissed off. I would rather wait longer to play a game that is actually fun, then play a game on these new servers. In fact I gave it a day on the new servers and haven't come back since. My point is West Coast players got use to the ping and playing on 95+ ping is no fun. So enjoy league, my beef isn't with you. I hope one day Riot will come up with a way for America to have decent ping on both coasts.
