Gemstone Skins

This isn't a post complaining about how "loot boxes are bad mkay", but rather an issue I have with the system.

I feel like the gemstone skins are amazing, but there are too few champions that have them. I just recently got my 10th gemstone after about 2 years of playing, and realized I really don't play any of the champions who have a mythic skin.

I feel as if we should get some sort of timeline for potential mythic skin releases so we can know whether to wait on a skin, or to just buy one of them who we feel we could use. I say this, because I sorta play hecarim, but I'm too scared to buy it because what of they release a better mythic skin for a champion I actually play next year, like Warwick?

Gemstones take a long time to accumulate. I wouldn't even have 10 after almost two years if i hadn't spent a lot of money on the game, as only about 4 of the 10 I earned were through chests i got in game.

Tl;Dr, considering that getting 10 gemstones can take years to accumulate, we should know what riot has planned for future releases of mythic skins well ahead of time rather than 2 or so weeks before they come out. We should know whether to spend years of gameplay on a skin we dont really want, or to wait a year or so for riot to release star guardian urgot as a mythic skin.
