Differences between EU and NA LCS
Hello. I haven't really watched that much pro play until the past couple of weeks. My observances could simply be coincidental to this period of time, but I am curious why people say "Because NA is...NA". I noticed in EU that well... the games are more boring to watch in terms of team fights; players focus their energy on outplaying the team through objectives mainly getting turrets. This is not necessarily a bad thing for the players, but for a viewer I'll admit it can be dull. You could compare it to a football game in which no points are scored until the end because each team is wary of the opponent capitalizing on a mistake. Not all of these EU games are decided the same way but it usually comes down to one last team fight because both teams have been so cautious and are relatively close in score. The high death timers allow for these late game fights to go either way depending on who comes out the victor.
Late game fights are part of the game, though. I mean, a team has to win sometime in some way. What I noticed in NA these past couple of weeks is that they are much more aggressive. Skirmishes happen more often in a variety of different ways. As an NA player, this is the kind of play I am used to seeing. Does the phrase "because NA is NA" reflect this: that players are more aggressive all around and will scrap whenever the timing appears right (even if it is not)? Is this a difference in not only pro play, but general play as well i.e. EU players prefer a strategy focused around objectives and playing safe rather than fighting? What are your thoughts? Is one style of playing better than the other?
