Possibly unanticipated Yorick results

Now here's something I want to discuss, not because I want to see it in game, but because it is actually efficient. Yorick vs Teemo actually favors Teemo more than people realize. An argument can be made that Teemo shouldn't win the match if you're stacking ghouls and poping your E on Teemo properly. Now what you actually run into is the fact that Teemo can prevent this as Teemo can pop Yorick with blind everytime Yorick goes in to Q a minion. Sure there are ways to bait out the blind but honestly a good teemo will know when to blind and when not to. So that means the only time Yorick can effectively fight teemo is when he can ult. Outside of ult timings teemo should always win this 1v1. Does this make Teemo 100% viable? Propbably not, but it does make teemo a good counter pick into Yorick, like he is against Nasus. So Teemo players rejoice, you have another favorable toplane matchup. That being said, if a team bans teemo atm, they are likely planning to play Yorick so keep that in mind for ranked games.

Yorick has always been a counter to Teemo and still is.

wrong. when both players are at equal skill level the Teemo wins

enjoy that sad bronzelife.

wrong again buddy, my highest rank account is above Bronze, this is only my main account because it's my first account and it owns all champions.

that's what they all say.

Chibi Smurflife is my newest account and it's currently silver 2 that is playing same role same style. So nothing different in my manner of play and I'm a whole rank above what this account is. So again stop trying to use baseless facts to bring down arguements you disagree with.

yawn. says the one doing just that. keep trying.

By asking you to actually discuss gameplay in a gameplay thread I'm using baseless facts to bring down your argument? Okay, lets talk about gameplay, and why Yorick used to counter Teemo. Yorick's old kit was all about spawning a ghoul each time used an ability, but lets be honest, what he was really used for was a long range tanky class that could poke you down with the ranged slow ghoul drop and then dive you under tower when you were too low to fight. Considering Teemo is a squishy champion, yes old Yorick countered teemo. Now what does new Yorick do? He is a melee brawler that semi-controls his ghouls by using his E to mark targets. How does he generally build up these ghouls? He last hits targets with his Q. While Yorick Q is a lower cool down than teemo blind, the fact remains every second Q teemo should be able to block. This mean that the time it takes Yorick to stack up ghouls through Q effectively doubles, if we ignore his passive for a second. Why are we ignoring Yorick's passive? because at lower levels it takes 12 minion deaths to get 1 grave, that's 2 waves, and unless you are the greatest lane freezer in the world you'll be nowhere near that spot when your second passive grave spawns. Considering you're trying to freeze on a teemo the odds are you will not successfully freeze the lane. So not only is your Q grave stacking slowed down, you also have to be a godlike lane freezer to fill in those gaps using your passive early game, which is likely only the top 1% of players who could even consider doing this. At that point counters mean close to nothing anyways. So basically you're in a lane of push and pull, and until you have ult you can't really just all in a teem either. To make matters worse, unless Teemo is just sitting in your minions with no wave of his own the ghouls primarily seem to focus the minions since they are the closest target, so to even get them to attack teemo, you have to land a really awkward skillshot on just teemo to put the mark only on him. As if that is not bad enough it's very easy for teemo to just kill the baby ghouls, outside the ult Maiden they all go down in like 1-2 hits and do not that much damage. So considering how many "ifs" there are to even consider in this matchup for the yorick, it is undeniably clear that the 1v1 favors teemo.

Please make a valid response to this.

Were you aware that Yorick gets graves even if he doesnt Q the minion dead? Every so many things dying makes a grave eventually. Even still, the way things are right now, Yorick does too much damage with his gouls and mist maiden. I am fairly certain he will see nerfs pretty quickly.

I factored that into the breakdown, and no the ghouls don't do "too much" damage, most of yorick's damage comes from his Q and attacking the same target his maiden does. Which I don't think that second part factors into turrets, and I know his Q doesn't damage turrets. I think it's something like an additional 7% max health if he hits the target that his maiden is attacking which is why with his ult active he can fight a teemo head to head, but the teemo can just blind Yorick and kill the maiden. then pop his move speed drop a shroom and run away after maiden dies unless you time your W perfectly. Like I said Yorick has too many "ifs" in this matchup. So outside of maybe diamond level the Teemo will win the majority of the time. I'm actually saying all this as someone who'd prefer to play the Yorick, but realistically the amount of variables that have to fall perfectly into place in order for Yorick to win just proves that the match favors Teemo. Sure there is room for outplays, but that's if all the variables fall just right for Yorick. But I do appreciate you actually contributing gameplay discussion.

Also, the fact that you revert to toxic replys when someone disagrees with you is a good example of what is wrong with the community. Instead of trying to use statistical data to try to prove your side of the discussion you spout baseless drivel and toxic personal attacks. Come at me with some real discussion on the topic bro, if you have legit input lets see it otherwise don't waste my time.

teemo traditionally ranks his toxic darts first then his blind, it 1.5 seconds is how long his blind last at rank 1, and 2.5 at rank 5. yorick can very well fight teemo if blind for 1.5 seconds and if teemo decides to do max q and do hit and runs hes going to find that he runs out of mana rather quickly

the point is preventing yorick from having ghouls. Most of yorick damage come from his ghouls, and he can only summon them if there are 3 graves, which a part of it usually comes from last hitting with you Q. By removing that Yorick will depen 100% in the random spans which Im guessing is similar to Thresh rate so he will need 2 or 3 waves to be able to trade once

no, it's not random spawns, it's minion death count based spawns. He'll still get enough graves over a specified length of time, but it really slows down his lane pressure.
