How can I carry harder when...

Last game: 32.5k gold, 550,000+ damage. 94k damage to players, 394 cs, 23/15/30, 1:07 gamelength It was almost solely me and Illaoi doing it all and it was very tough to do anything but defend while people constantly ran into 5v1's or just as bad situations. won because I caught them in our base 1v1 and 2v2 and killed 3 people quick so we could finally end.

I've done this quite a few times. Gone 500+ and nearly 600+ cs and all sorts of absurd numbers in games and my team does almost nothing to help me. I'm not gonna gripe. I just want to know what else can be done. I'm csing right, I'm positioning well. I'm diving properly when needed. All that fun stuff. But I can't overcome things like a 1/8 top. or a 0/10 JG. Double true since the new seasons changes. For the most people I think people just don't care. They want to play a champ the way they want to play it, even if they go 0/10. Which I would never do. I'll have the occasional bad game. But nothing that horrible, nothing my team, or I, can never recover from. So I feel like I'm stuck. I look at players and their skill level around me and see my gold numbers DOUBLING theirs, my cs top in the game, my kills and deaths acceptable compared to the game length and see my biggest problems being other people. I don't know how to carry harder when I'm 6/2 on draven and the top goes 1/8 and my whole team runs into them 1v5 and leaves me alone at nexus to defend 1v5.

What else can I do?

Honestly, what I did in bronze was basically play it like it's a bot match. Go mid, kill the mid laner 5-6 times in 15 minutes. Take mid tower. Go top, kill enemy top laner and take top tower. Go bot, kill bot lane, take bot tower. Get drag, steal enemy buffs. Go mid, 1 v 2 or 1 v 3 their jungler, mid, and top laner, take tier 2 mid tower. Then rotate top, if enemy is still dead, take tier 2 top tower. If enemy is alive, kill them.

By now I should have roughly 15-20 kills and the game should be roughly 25 minutes. It's around this time the enemy will ff.

40 games from B5 to silver 5. I won roughly 34 of them.

Basically the game is under my total control because my mechanics are far better than anyone's in bronze, so I can pull shit like this off. Generally it's not going to happen, because it requires hundreds of games to improve your mechanics to the point where you can just brute force all your games in low elo.

holy shit dude, if you climbed an entire tier in 40 games you should be WAY higher than silver 5

My main is UltraSceptile, it's plat 4. Bronze 5 to plat 3, then dropped to plat 4 (stuck there, not good enough to get out of plat near the end of season). I started ranked in season 4, was absolute garbage with a 33% winrate in low bronze. After that I played over 800 normal games, all tryharding. Played provisionals in January, got bronze 5, then started plowing through ranked in May. Hit a rough patch in mid silver but then climbed from gold to plat in 150 games.

oh lol that makes more sense. i thought you meant you were in silver 5 despite having a ridiculously high winrate.

impressive though, lowest i've been is B3 a couple seasons ago, never got to experience the B5 chaos. sounds fun / terrifying

It really wasn't. People are really nice in bronze, I honestly enjoyed my stay. I commonly joke with my friends (who are low silver/bronze) that I absolutely despise platinum and enjoyed my time in bronze and gold 3-gold 1 a lot more than I enjoy being in plat.

is plat really that bad? i hear that from a lot of people. i'm considering climbing more in the new season but i'm lazy and i don't wanna do it if everyone is a total dick there.

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. The number of assholes I met is significantly larger than the number of assholes I met in gold (i actually can't remember a single one), but not large enough to discourage climbing. Silver, however, is a whole other story.

I hear from friends high plat is horrible because you play with low diamonds, and apparently half of that playerbase is cancer because they're all boosted or dumb fucks with inflated egos who feed if things don't go their way. But I've never gotten that high so I can't tell you from personal experience.

Lol pretty much everyone i've ever met in diamond is an asshole with a massive ego, probably don't wanna go high enough to risk my sanity. gold 5 is comfy. it's like silver but with free skins. that's all i really came for.

What champ and role would you use to do this? I find this almost comical. I don't have opponents that are THAT bad... I'll try it but seriously... would like to know more or give me examples and game links. Because I've never seen this outside of bots.

I played zed. And the reason you don't have opponents that bad is because, in all honesty, you just aren't that much greater than your opponent. I recently played like 10 games on a friends account (also bronze), with yasuo, and I did the exact same thing (winning 9/10 games). However, I don't really think you should try this with my champ or my role. It worked for me because I had literally hundreds of games of practice in normals learning all different kinds of match ups, experiencing literally every kind of jungler in the game, allowing me to know my own damage and 1 v 2 potential for free double kills at 3 minutes. Practice your own champs, until you get to the point where you can do it with those champs you enjoy.

Keep in mind there was no magical way for me to get out of bronze. I did play roughly 800 games of normals until I was able to stomp that easily from bronze 5-silver 2 (i didn't stomp as much from there, instead I started playing jungle and playing teamfight oriented champions rather than just ridiculous pubstomp snowballing). The only difference between you and I is that I focused on my own gameplay, never my teammates.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you game links to my personal gameplay because I never thought to record it, and I don't want to tank my main account into bronze 5....that would take too much effort and would destroy all the work I put into it.

Here's a game that was similar to the kinds of games I played in bronze, obviously this player is a billion times better than me but you don't need to be challenger to wreck bronze.

If you are good at everything else, then perhaps the only thing you need to improve is your decision making..Which goes a long ways my friend.

I'm new at league came over from WoW after 8 years of that. After my ten provisional games in the pre season I am a gold four. In ranked towards my last two matches I played some plats and diamonds. That being said I got absolutely destroyed my last match. I feel like bronze players have this idea in their head that one person can win the game that they need to someone to hard carry or something. They also seem to either think that structures only matter or kills only matter. I think league is a game where you need vision. If you knew where all the enemies were all the time winning would be an absolute joke so I think communicating with your team is the main thing. Secondly, you need map awareness. When I say map awareness I mean know where your teammates and enemies are, know the spawn timers on dragon and above all ward and encourage the use of warding. In the early-mid especially it is crucial that you buy wards on every back with spare gold and drop a gold on dragon around the 1:00-1:30 spawn timer. Third, individual performance. Know your lane. If you're mid laner know your match ups and how they play out. Be prepared for a counter on the enemy mid laner and also be prepared for when you might get countered. I read guides for champions I don't even have or like just for insight on how they play and how I can counter. And finally is dying. Above all things in solo que is dying. The community is extremely toxic and even a three kill lead or deficit can cause players to start acting like babies. Don't die. Ever. No trade is ever worth it. You lose gold, you lose CS. You lose a valuable member of a five man squad even if you're already doing poorly. Stay alive. I cannot stress this enough, no trade is worth it.

I'm still new and I'm still learning but coming in from another game I think what allowed me into gold right away was a different perspective on the game. And now in my division I may have to adapt some LoL tendencies in order to move up into platinum. So like I said before, communication, map awareness and always play it safe. One last thing that I will add on is when you "all in" someone drop everything you've got. Every item, every spell. Never assume X and Y will kill an opponent. Drop Z, give them everything and secure a kill on the enemy.

Kills mean nothing if you can't make the right decisions.

the answer is that you really don't. As long as you are not a whole tier in mechanics compared to another person, even if you win lane you will still lose. I only hard carried once as zed 11/0/2. Play zed, own laner, roam bot, kill adc 5 times, then push and make other team ff. It is very hard to do this if you are not tiers above in mechanical skill. Buy a pink and put it in baron, dragon, it provides a good investment.

No ones comments have really helped at all. I have thousands of games logged. I do well, my cs is in the high 80's 90 %'s my decision making IS good. For example: Last game my lulu ran into tower and finished 0/15. What do I do with that? I had 400 cs, positive cs, but died 1v5 at our nexus to end. What's the deal? I can 1v1, 1v3 even, but 1v5ing isn't possible. And if there's mechanics for that, I'd like to know. If there's mechanics for doing better, I want to know, but I really haven't seen much that's repeatable every game.

Good decision making and Bronze don't exactly go well together. I'm terrible at farming and have had 1 hour games where I'm still under 100. Although, decision making alone will get you to at least Gold. If you want to get better you have to admit you're doing something wrong, rather than focusing so much on your stats when they don't actually matter much.

Ok, here. I once had to play a game as zed where I was 14/0 in 16 minutes. My jinx was 0/6 and rushed bloodthirster, and then bought frozen mallet. Each time she died or backed she would spent a whole minute sitting in spawn pondering what she should buy. So what I did was go bot, kill their adc and support, took bot tower, roamed into jungle, killed their jungler, and then went back to my lane for another free kill. It's really that simple.

One thing I will say I got lucky with was that I got mid lane almost every game (mostly because after 10 games people in champ select, half the time my first pick would op.gg the entire team, and give me mid saying "you must be smurf, carry please" even after looking at his match history post game he mained mid lane.

Honestly, it gets to the point where unless it's a literal 1 v 5 (which is maybe 1 in a million games), you can penta kill without a problem. Now, even I lost games in bronze, but like I said, don't be afraid to team death match shit in bronze. Chances are if you do it well enough the enemy will ff.

the key to this game is to snowball all lanes, not just ur lane. ESPECIALLY now in season 6 with how fast and heavily the game snowballs.

snowballing your lane is only the first step. next you HAVE to snowball bot lane before they even get a chance to get fed by going bot and stomping them and taking tower. repeat this with top lane or mid, then proceed to take over enemy jg. this has to be done every single game because if you focus only on your single lane all game and someone in another lane feeds 0/10 then fucking RIP.

this is why people say dont bitch at feeders. if you are going to carry YOU HAVE to treat this game as a single player 1v5 game. you just have to, regardless of the fact that this is a "team" oriented game. you HAVE to play all lanes yourself. dont call a role in champ select because at the end of the day you are going to be playing ALL the fucking lanes so calling a role is pointless.

do this consistently and you will get atleast diamond guranteed. if you are still one of those clowns that say "this is my lane" "get out of my fucking lane" "ima stay top and split push all game" "why should i go bot? handle ur own lane" "mid only" "top only" "jg only" etc etc then you are not going to get anywhere anytime soon.

if you are support, get your ADC fed and head mid. get mid fed and head top. get top fed and its pretty much impossible for enemy to win. if you are mid get yourself fed first. after 2-3 kills and lvl 6 head bot and get them fed and take tower and drag. then go top just to get him off his island and win game. same goes for top or ADC. get yourself fed first then get others fed. if you cant feed yourself then look for idiots and get fed off them in other lanes. jg is usually easiest target, especially brain dead silver warwick and yi players who do the exact same predictable "full clear" route every single game. ward there jg heavily and they will be free kills every time.

another thing is treat your teammates as canon fodder. they die for you, not the other way around. if you die for your teammates then just give up and say "i want to get carried sempais" to your entire team.
