LISSANDRA REWORK IDEA (new and improved pt2)

Background of the Idea

-This is my second attempt on the Lissandra rework idea. The first one (which I deleted already) had so many good reviews and comments that encourage me to balance the changes a bit more with added details.

-To introduce myself, I am an Average Plat player from the PH Server whose IGN is 314PenGuin (314dokg is my NA server name), and whose main role is Support. And I know that what you’re about to read is that I’m trying to change Lissandra as a support role. But hear me out, I AM NOT changing Lissandra into a support champion. I am trying to make Lissandra stand out more as a Champion, making her more of a game changing champion when it comes to major team fights. Making her a “Control” Mage during the early game, and then to a “Burst” Mage by late game. Think of it like Zyra. She barely have damage in the early game but has great control, and then with enough items, she can easily burst down an enemy carry.

-Reason for making this rework is that, most class updates, and champion reworks are trying their best to have their abilities fit with their theme (like Graves having a shotgun mechanics, Zyra’s control over the plants, and Talon’s Assassin style parkour). Lissandra is one of those champion’s design is spot on when it comes to the theme and the fantasy of her lore as the Ice Witch, but though her abilities are now outdated as well as being too linear when playing as Lissandra. Her Passive most especially, doesn’t really fit the Ice Witch theme. So I decided to update her abilities to fit with her theme. I’m going to emphasize her title the Ice Witch. Yes Witch, and usually when you hear the word witch, the first thing that comes into your mind, is casting evil spells that would cripple you to your demise. Which is the idea to this rework.

-Quick overview on her playstyle. When it comes to teamfight, Lissandra should know which ability order she'll use over the course of the battle in order to get the right CC for the right situation. so yes, Ability management is the key to her success as a Control/Burst Mage.

note: Passive, and W are completely different from the Live version. Q,W,E,R abilities have added effects due to the new passive as well as new damage calculations.

Ice Witch’s Curse (Innate) Damaging an enemy with an ability will mark the enemy with Dark Ice for 3 seconds. And can be stacked up to 3 times. At 3 stacks, Lissandra’s next ability will have empowered effects and will consume the stacks.

Lissandra’s basic attacks refresh Dark Ice stacks’ duration on-hit

Lissandra cannot stack Dark Ice on enemies whose stacks were recently consumed for 15/12/9/6 seconds

Ice Shard (Q) Target Range: 725/825 Cost: 95 Mana Cooldown: 6/5.25/4.5/3.75/3 seconds ACTIVE: Lissandra hurls a spear of ice in a line which deals 40/70/100/130/160 (+80% AP) magic damage to the first enemy hits and slows them by 16/19/22/25/28% for 1.5 seconds. If the spear damages an enemy, it shatters, gaining increase range.

*If Ice Shard kills a target, Lissandra gain (2-24 based on level) mana for each enemy kills. * Plus 5% of max mana if Ice Shard kills an enemy champion.

DARK ICE EFFECT: Ice Shard deals an additional 15/35/55/75/95 (+30%AP).

Ring of Frost (W) Effect Radius: 450 Cost: 70 Mana Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10
ACTIVE: Lissandra freezes all nearby enemies, dealing 60/90/120/180/210 (+45%) magic damage and creates an ice zone that last for 1.5 seconds and briefly slows enemies by 8/16/24/32/40% and also grounding them over the area’s duration.

DARK ICE EFFECT: The target is briefly rooted for 1.5 seconds

Glacial Path (E) Target Range: 1050 Speed: 850 Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 Mana Cooldown: 23/20/17/14/11 Seconds ACTIVE: Lissandra cast a claw of ice that moves forward in a line, dealing 70/115/160/205/250 (+60% AP) magic damage to all enemies it passes through.

Reactivating Glacial Path consumes the claw and blinks Lissandra to its final location

DARK ICE EFFECT: If Lissandra would blink on the target at a 250 Radius, the target is feared for 0.5/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds

Frozen Tomb (R) Target Range: 550 Cost: 100 Mana Cooldown: 140/110/80 Seconds ENEMY CAST: Lissandra freezes the target enemy champion, stunning the target for 1.5 second.

SELF CAST: Lissandra entombs herself, placing herself in stasis for 2.5 seconds while healing herself, with the heal increased by 1% for every 1% missing health.

Black Ice then spreads from Frozen Tomb’s target and lasts for 3 seconds, dealing 125/225/325 (+80% AP) magic damage to all enemies in the area as it expands and slowing them by 30/45/75% while they remain within.

DARK ICE EFFECT: (on enemy cast) Target will receive 8/14/20% increase damage from Lissandra’s allies for 3 seconds and will have their attack speed slow by 20/30/40% while within the area.

DARK ICE EFFECT: (Black Ice Damage) Enemies with full Dark Ice Stack will have their attack speed slow by 20/30/40% while within the area.

This may sound like a huge rework for Lissandra, but I mean it’s going to make Lissandra’s Playstyle more unique and impactful for the team. I’d say it’s time to bring Lissandra back to the meta. #RiotNoticeMeSenpai

I love that you kept the majority of her kit the same, while updating it a bit. I main Liss, so I love her just as she is now, but it can get boring sometimes. I also love that the whole kit revolves around the Dark Ice, kind of reminds me of Syndra actually, but with more interraction.

I would maybe keep the root on her W. A lot of her strength comes from the fact it's an instant aoe root

I rather like this rework for her, it gives her more mastery and skill expression to chaining her spells together for maximum effect and it makes her less oppressive vs melees due to the fact that her W has been changed from an instant root to a grounding and slowing field.

I feel like the whole stacking for an empowered effect passive is overused as a theme, not to mention that it lacks anything to do with Ice itself. That's my only real comment to add in here, just a lack of Flavor for the passive. Her abilities laying ice on the ground whenever they happen/travel, which creates areas of slowing would be neat, and use her Claw teleport for more than an escape/engage.

More grounded effects is welcome. Too much mobility nowadays

Really good, but I prefer, that her w still roots.
