Tips against Zed

Ok since i remember Boards there has been always a hatred against this champion, even when the meta didnt favour him. People here always pointing out his strengths while ignoring his weak points, a tactic with which you can ''prove'' that every champion is OP. Also every proposal for counterplay is getting dismissed or ignored, without much reasoning and the most voted comments just echo the QQ of the thread starter. I dont believe that atm Zed is OP, not in my personal experience and not from what ive seen from hard statistics, so i will give some simple tips playing against him and take it as you may:

Things to do if you go mid you didnt pick any of the above:

• is very useful against Zed, activate it when Death Mark is about to get popped

• Champions with strong waveclear from a long range ( ) can easily stay back and let Zed push the lane, while farming efficiently under tower. Its important to remember that all the above champions severely outdamage Zed later in teamfights so being behind in farm (in reasonable levels ofc) before you can take a few items/levels and being able to waveclear in 0,5 seconds is something to be expected

• Do not follow Zed when he roams, instead push to the turret and call for MIA. You are gonna lose the 1v1 if you follow him.

• 2 Dorans and Seekers are very good start against Zed. The double Dorans will give you a chunk of health and sufficient mana regen while Seekers will give you the armor you need.

• When Zed ultis and you think that the damage is enough to kill you (and you dont have Barrier available), Flash to the side. He most likely miss the shurikens and the damage from the Deathmark wont kill you

• if you want extra safety, since it now reduces the CD of summoner spells as well and its good if you prefer sustained damage instead of burst anyway

• Use your trinket wards on the river to prevent his roams as much as possible

• Remember that Zed is a champion who relies on snowballing, so dont get frustrated if he gets an early lead. As you can see from sites like champion.gg, his winrate falls off as the game keeps going

• As every other champion, Zed as well has favourable matchups. Remember that when you pick an unfavourable matchup into Zed you put yourself at a disadvantage, so the first one to get the blame is you. To be more specific, champions i do NOT recommend playing against Zed:

• Since LoL is a team game, what your team will pick against Zed matters as well. Like if your team pick Jinx with Nida support and Zed goes off, i would think twice before making a rage thread about Zed being OP. Some champions that are effective against Zed in other roles are:

• Tell your ADC to build QSS as a 3rd/4th item, PD helps as well

Lastly i want to say that you are not required to do ALL of the above in order to win against Zed, and in matches there are countless other factors as well. These are just some general tips because i find the whole ''Zed has no counterplay'' hivemind a bit ridiculous. Hope i helped, have a nice day
