Point and Click is Part of the Problem

Point and Click CCs / Gap Closers seem like a necessary evil when faced with hyper mobile champions. This much is true.

However, point and click is also what makes the most binary kits in the game.

If they will win an engagement, they engage and win it. If they won't win an engagement, they either engage and lose it or do nothing. There is no room to outplay them outside of summoner 4 , and they have their own. Champions like this turn the fight into what Riot hates the most -- one ball of stats punching the other. These are the things that need to go.

As for what would be left to counter the hypermobile, I say without the aforementioned, they could be nerfed, in some cases heavily, without necessarily making them weak.

Most adcs are just point and click.

Actually, point in click isn't totally binary. For example, as Jax, there's going to be a huge difference between a Jax who uses his E to dodge auto attacks, and waits until the last second to stun you, as opposed to a Jax who just jumps on you with it activated. Now some of these kits, I can't argue with. Fiora is extremely binary. However, Olaf also has a binary kit, despite having skillshots. Also, not mentioning Taric? Or Darius? They are both entirely point and click.
