For anyone having trouble with this guy i'll tell you a great counter pick that stomps him in lane. Use sion whenever he uses his q start your w q him then e him pop the w then walk away. Eventually this will lead to him flashing out or you killing him unless his jungler comes and in that situation your best option would be to run. Malphite also works

Graves Quinn Vayne will tear him to pieces. Fiora will do just as well, but it'll feel even more frustrating because Darius is supposed to get kited... Fiora just kinda BSes all over him. Other than that, A simple slow is all you need to outplay his Q healing, without the Q healing, he is a lot weaker.

So indeed, Malphite does well. Sion needs to stand still to charge his Q, so that's not a good matchup IMO summoner 31

Sion needs to stand still, but i don't think that he really gives a shit unless he's pulled by darius. But sion is much better than some other champions simply because it's disgustingly easy to set up ganks for your jungler.

Sions shield breaks really quickly unless he is maxing it. Sion prefers to Max Q, and Darius is a champion that can force him to max W for sure (W is also a large part of his damage.) The fact that someone is playing Darius makes it rediculously easy to gank tbh :p summoner 31

Nah when you face a lane bully you max w it does damage and soaks it just walk away as they try to break it minion slow with e pop shield and then q

Wouldn't the Darius eventually just stop using his Q first? I mean, he can pull you out of yours, and if he's quick on the draw, avoid the knock up and extra damage entirely. And sion hates extended trades in this lane, which are what Darius loves. So it's kind of iffy to me

Except whenever I play 5s with my friends, we usually get matched against diamonds and plats even though none of us are even there...

I do find that, as long as you don't give him too much advantage early, Sion can fairly easily beat Darius when you land your Qs right.

Not really, but if you meant getting ganked, then sure.

Malphite is pretty immobile in lane(his Q mobility isn't so dependable since its mana cost is pretty expensive), so it's easy for Darius to get a hit of his Q on him, otherwise, just do an easy pull-W-Q.
Malphite's W armor passive can be typically ignored since Darius has natural %Armor Penetration on his E. Sure Mal can do more damage the more Armor he has, but can still be negated by Darius's Q heal.
Even if Malphite attempts to build pure AP instead of normal Tank builds, Darius can still do a legit as his first two items to counter him.
