Am I the only one that thinks Azir is in a balanced state right now?

I know Riot said he's unbalancable and dumpstered him, but with his last little buff I think he actually got to a good state. His winrate is still shit, but hey, it was since his release. But now pros are picking him again and I just realized I played him more than my main in ranked games. I think he's actually in a decent spot with clear powerspikes and strenghts and weaknesses, be it his squishiness or his weak early.

I know he's supposed to get a small rework, but I just want to add my bit - he's alright right now, please, don't fuck him up again (on both sides of the spectrum)!

Below a 44% winrate is by no means balanced. Kept at bay, maybe, but the only reason he is still picked in pro play is because of how well they can use him. Balance should not fully revolve around what pros can do.

As I said, his winrate never was really high, even when he was strong it was about 47 %...? And look at me, I'm just a Silver scrub and I do well, it's all about the training.

Meh, doesn't feel like he outplayed me when he kites me, ults me back after I use my gapcloser and then finishes me off in a couple hits. After all, I didn't get a chance to play much at all... his Q cd is incredibly low for such an influential spell (it moves where he does his damage), so baiting it out is useless since it's up again instantly.

I mean yes he played well but it's not like I could've done anything against it...

Every champion has their counterpicks, Azir counters skirmishers, but suffers when facing assassins or artillery mages. Nothing like you meet many skirmishers in midlane.

How would he suffer against assassins? Just kite, ult them away, and kite. The melee ones, that is.

Kite an assassin with one dash? Lul

Ekko Katarina Zed say hello

Fizz and Leblanc are skill matchup

You are obviously not an Azir player

Edit: I give you that he's good at dealing with them in the laning phase by playing safe and poking, but after they all in he's dead most of the time (ofc when the assassin player is bad is a difference)

Well Ekko has 1 dash, stay out of range of the tp and he cant use it.

Although I guess they only need a split second or so to do their damage (besides LB, but she's ranged), and that's just perfect, cuz that's all the time they'll get before Azir ults them away.

Ekko can just zone Azir and jump on him if he tries to farm. Then Azir can try to ult him back but he blinks over the wall or just baits it out and does it again 10 seconds later, izi pizi. LB jumps close to Azir, when he ults, she R(W)s back and then snaps back and she's behind his wall, too. Fizz saves his E to jump over his wall.

It's so easy to get behind Azir's wall as an assassin, it just requires thinking [slayer-jinx-catface]

How bout Kha?

Or Rengar?

Guess Kha could run around it, actually.

Still, hard countering skirmishers is annoying, as a Fiora/Riven main.

I did not mention them because they have leaps, so yeah, they should be easy to be dealt with, but honestly, yes, Kha runs around and Rengo still oneshots you from stealth, so you have no chance to even press R xD

That little buff looks like it made him overpowered again, I don't think there's an in-between for Azir's current kit.

Even in Challenger his winrate's still around 47 %, Idk...

Winrate doesn't tell the whole story and I was referring to his appearance in pro games. Every time he was picked I couldn't see anything the enemy could have done about him. He just dealt too much damage from too safe a position and then disengages with a turret blocking the enemy's path, it looks like Azir just comes down to "can the enemy play Azir? then we have to ban Azir"

Well something clearly can be done because if not, he'd have 100% winrate... In only Challenger I think it's pretty accurate argument.
