Can Riot hit Garen with the nerf hammer?

His tankiness is fine but his damage really needs a reduction. I am not saying he is a problem, because he isn't if he has not got good damage on his team however... I want to see him nerfed so that people will just stop spamming him all the time. He has got to be one of the most boring champions in League. He builds the same thing every game and does pretty much the same thing. There is no real skill needed to use his kit or any real challenge to actually playing him.

I do not want to see him nerfed because he is overpowered, I want to see him nerfed so that people will stop playing him and move onto more interactive champions and not this giant brick.

If they nerf him he will be completely useless. I agree, his ultimate cooldown/damage is high, the rest is moderately high, but if they really try to nerf him he'd just be so useless...

If you are worried about garen play someone who is strong against him and take garen into your own hands to shut him down and get him out of the game.

Suggestions:

Renekton Darius Pantheon Elise Gnar Teemo Vayne Quinn , and others.

Just deal with him yourself honestly.

Careful son, this post sounds awfully close to something a villain would say. And we all know what happens to villains. http://i.imgur.com/W0wVY4c.gif?Noredirect

But you also realized why Riot can't nerf him because of something like it's just boring and not interactive and fun to play with, nerfs only come to champions that are truly over-performing their intended abilities.

Garen is meant to be an easy champion for beginners to play with and be strong with. Garen has good sustain and damage because of his kit and itemization, but he lacks any strong CC and gap closer (other than Q) to re-position and reach his target(s).

When I play, I don't see many Garens because of these flaws, but I can understand what you mean about him being limited in interactivity, but realistically, the same thing could be described to any champion when played enough of and mastered with, so it is more dependent on player preference on what they like to play or not in the end, as Riot can't force players to play more or less of a champion.
