Idea for an Evelynn rework.

Evelynn She has been one of my favorite champions since I started League; But I wont' deny that she feels more and more out of place as the game continues to evolve... I've put some thought in to ways that would change her for the better, make her less toxic, and maintain her fan established identity as a brawly, hybrid damage, assassin.

So here's my vision of: Evelynn: The Shadow Isle Sadist

**Passive: Pain for Pleasure **- Gauge starts at maximum of 20.

  • Damaging an enemy champion makes Evelynn excited, building her excitement gauge, 2 points for auto attacks and ability hits, 10 points for Agony's Embrace, Evelynn gains 1.5% movement and attack speed per point of excitement. Excitement fades rapidly once out of champion combat, and restores 2% of Evelynn's missing mana for each point consumed.

**Q: Hate Spike ** - Costs and CD's unchanged.

  • Passive - Hate Spikes CD is reduced by 1% for each point of excitement. This bonus can go beyond the CDR cap, but the cool down can never be less then 0.4 seconds.

  • Active - Unchanged from live.

W: Shadow Step / Fade to Black

**Shadow Step **- Cost 40/50/60/70/80 mana; 3 second cool down.

  • Passive - Taking damage from an enemy champion will change Shadow step into Fade to Black for 3 seconds.

  • Active - Evelynn is camouflaged for 5/10/15/20/25 seconds (reveal range 400) If activated while already camouflaged, 50% of the mana cost is refunded.

**Fade to Black **- No cost; Cool down - 100/90/80/70/60 seconds

  • Active - Evelynn turns Invisible and her Excitement will not deteriorate for 3/6/9/12/15 seconds. Shadow Step may not be used while Fade to Black is on cool down.

E: Ravage - cost 35/45/55/65/75 mana; Cool Down - 15/14/13/12/11 seconds. Range - 300 targeted ability

  • Active - Evelynn leaps to her target striking them twice for 100% AD physical damage + 50% AP magic damage and slows them by 40/50/60/70/80 % for 1.5 seconds. If Evelynn is undetected at time of casting, She will terrify all enemies in her leap path for 1 second.

Ultimate: Agony's Embrace - Cost 100 all ranks; cool Down 150/135/120 seconds; Range 400; Skill shot.

  • Passive - Each rank of Agony's Embrace raises Evelynn's maximum excitement by 5 points.

  • Active - Evelynn binds her target in magical, jagged chains; Dealing 300/450/600 (plus 50% AD and 50% AP) damage, and heals Evelynn for this much over 3 seconds. The target is also slowed by 60/70/80%. If the target is killed while Agony's embrace is active, They will have the chains explode from their body, dealing 20/25/30% Missing health magic damage to all enemies within a 400 range radius.

A few quick points:

  • Eve's new passive would support her better as the brawly assassin the community has shaped her into. Making her more dangerous the longer she's in combat, but won't help her if she makes a bad engage.

  • Hate Spike CDR from passive would give her quite the melting tool, but would run her OOM pretty quick if she doesn't "calm dawn" and recover her mana before ganking again. Speaking of managing mana;

  • The New W gives her the OPTION to be perma-stealthed, but comes at the cost of getting REALLY expensive, The more mana you spend to stay cloaked, the less you'll have when you gank.

  • Fade to Black is meant to be a panic button in the worst of times and an out play tool in the best. Using it will deny Eve ANY form of stealth for a fairly long time. So It better be worth it!

  • New Ravage would give her a short range engage, since she loses her speed steroid, And the bonus terrify would stop her from getting insta-gibbed on an even engage. By range she COULDEN'T use it from Shadow Step. She would have to position in a bush or behind a small wall; OR use it from Fade to Black.

  • The New Ultimate combines aspects of her last two pre-rework forms, Now it can actually be used as a powerful assassination tool, and if used at the right time, can cause a ton of team fight damage!

Yes, eve needs rework. She's also one champ that I'm maining/mastering and riot NEEDS to swap her passive for an active and make W more useful/replace it. That idea for passive is genious. Good ideas man. Finally, she will also become a bit harder champ and maybe more used in League.

surprisingly these ideas are all amazing ideas and not super busted minus some numbers works. I think she would have way to many slows/too strong of slows (mainly her ult) i think maybe lower the ult slow % and the e slow % and thats a great idea.

This sounds pretty good! High risk; high reward! That's the name of the game with assassins. I don't think I want her to be a sustained fighter. Your plan for her suggests that she won't be an ap nuke assassin, but similar to Rengar/Khazix use of stealth, being able to isolate and stick to a single target. I think her focus should play with vision more, and stealth or unstealthed as an option. Instead of current stealth champs, using their ability to engage and quickly disengage, I think Eve should be able to use shadows as utility. I think her passive should be "Encroaching Fear". When Evelynn damages enemy champions, their field of vision grows increasingly reduced. At max stacks of "Encroaching Fear" the shadows converge on the enemy champion, making the enemy invisible to their allies. I think her R should be "Deadly Nightshade". Evelynn creates an Encroaching Fear zone with her at the center. When attacking an enemy champion, the zone switches from Eve to her target. Killing the enemy champion will return the zone to Evelynn and refresh a portion of the duration.
