Mordekaiser's New ult and it's utility
There more I think about it, the more I feel this ultimate really lacks counterplay. When I think of an ability that removes a champion from the game temporarily, another ability comes to mind: Tahm Kench'es devour. However in my opinion Tahm Kench is more fair in how he goes about doing this, let me try to explain why.
Tahm Kench, from what I understand needs 3 stacks of his passive in order to devour an enemy champion. After that point, a symbol appears telling the victim that Tahm can eat them, removing them from the game before spitting them back out a short time later. Tahm Kench is a tank, and a melee champion. He has a ranged slow/ stun, a strong shield, but nothing else to close the gap between his target unless you count in items and runes. Because of these limitations, he can't easily walk up and instantly devour an squishy champion. Compared to Mordekaiser's reworked ultimate, this will force the enemy team to buy qss, Banshee's veil, or use a summoners spell. Sure, it's not exactly cast instantly and some champions have spellshields to keep him from using his ult, but why is it fair that just by picking morde the enemy team has to buy qss or play specific champions? What if he's the last pick in draft? Or the game is blind pick?
this guy exists and if you are a melee champion you kind of have to buy QSS as there is generally no other way to avoid getting killed by Malzahar ultimate
you need to buy QSS (well most melee champions can't either but they might have enough durability to survive)
you aren't 100% cut off from your team, and they can be cc'd. Mordekaiser's ultimate denies you of that luxury, and if he uses it on a support or jungler their only way out is qss.
: Not only provides an instant escape but gives MR to lower the damage he deals as well
