Did the buffs to Akali did anything to "fix" her?

As of Patch 6.23, there were some changes to Akali , all being "buffs". But does those "buffs" actually help her?

Passive - Twin Disciplines HEAL RATIO 0.6 bonus attack damage + 0.3 ability power ⇒ 0.6 bonus attack damage + 0.45 ability power DAMAGE RATIO 0.5 bonus attack damage + 0.5 ability power ⇒ 0.5 bonus attack damage + 0.65 ability power BUGFIX Fixed a bug where damage from Twin Disciplines and Mark of the Assassin would not count towards Thunderlord’s Decree

W - Twilight Shroud COST 80/75/70/65/60 energy ⇒ 60/55/50/45/40 energy

E - Crescent Slash RATIO 0.7 bonus attack damage + 0.5 ability power ⇒ 0.8 bonus attack damage + 0.6 ability power

Now let's talk about these "buffs". The Passive buff is fine. But then look at the other two. Buff to W is nice, but it doesn't fix her problem. E just seems kind of random in my opinion although it works in tangent with her combos and such. Overall, in my opinion, these buffs didn't fix what is her current problem which is damage output. Most of her current power lies within her Passive and Q mark damage; Both of which needs to be proc by Auto attacks. Then there is the issue of her "ultimate" being really lacking in interaction with her aside being a gap closer.

These are a few possible changes that I think would honestly help her. (Revert the Passive and/or E buffs to compensate for some of these changes. And possibly nerf W energy to 70/65/60/55/50 from 60/55/50/45/40.)

  • [ Make Q mark empower the next Passive effect strike by 5%/ 10%/ 15%/ 20%/ 25%. ] Ex: If the next auto is the healing strike, it will empower the healing. And if the next auto attack is the extra damage strike, it will empower the damage.

  • [ Give her passive the Taric treatment. When she strikes with the first part of the passive, her next passive strike will be faster. ]

  • [ Buff R base damage to 75/ 125/ 175 and/or buff AP scaling from 25% to 35%. ] OR [ Make R proc the Q mark damage. ]

In all honesty they should just add a heal on Q props, the problem I've noticed is that you don't need the heal on her right away (especially if you are max health) but when u start taking damage. Akali still had the same issues she always had and that is "I kill you before u kill me" and the spell vamp allowed Akali to stay in fights longer and do her job, now with that passive idk, she's not Diana nor ekko and that static cd her passive has sort of hurts her more than helps her. All these buffs feel like they will only make her too much burst and only get her nerfed. I'm not an Akali pro but I've played her enough games to know that a 2 hit passive isn't a good thing on her, I mean it showed that when they removed the E Q proc on her, that nerf hurt a lot

She needs VGU. Shaco and Eve too. At least they try to make her "playable" unlike champions that are forgotten for years.

Shaco was just fine before the update - it just reeked of change for the sake of change.

He seemed like decently fun champion to me, with a good mix of mobility, utility, damage, and just overall trickiness.

What changes did he need exactly?

I think they really hampered Akali's kit when they tried to force it into an arbitrary window. It seems to be Riot's current go-to approach for any reliable champion nowadays: look at the changes to Ryze and Vladmir.

I think the notion of "windows of power" should be thrown out the window, myself.

She is stupidly strong now toplane. She just 1v1'd me as Darius. Out of three times I was just able to kill her once. If anything, its her damage output thats stupid now.

Even before the changes akali beats Darius, Darius q's you R and avoid all heal and most damage.
