The reason no one likes to support

I queued as support as I thought that i might just support every other game. The match started but before the enemy adc took our adc's Cait so he decided to use twitch instead. about five minutes in he dies but I get a double kill so I thought I could help to snowball off that. So we continue our lane and our jungle ganks. The adc dies and I accidentally pick up a kill.

He ends the game 1/10. I decided to help our 0/4 top lane cause support mains say support is good because you can roam like a jungler or something like that. I gank successfully but we get counter ganked by the enemy lizard lady and he dies. Our mid lane was good but she also had to roam to help contain the chaos. Our jungle wasn't bad but he was toxic and flamed alot.

So sincerely to all support mains. If someone says they don't like support shut your yap and understand that not everyone is such a masochist that they would deliberately put themselves in a where they can do little to nothing with a 4/1 lead and their success depends on others being at least decent.

I've gone 0/2/30 with janna on my first time playing her. It's not that I hate the role I'm just saying it feels better to lose as another lane because you can actually do your own thing if the team is not that good

you imply you can do much in any role when the rest of the team failed

heck, i recall i lost 9/0/0 ahri game last week, it was a surrender at 24th minute

you also likely gravely overestimate how well you played if your adc lost the lane

That's why I tend to play AP supports who can win games by being fed.

Or play tanks and out dual anyone on their team.

No, the reason people dont like playing support, is because they get the role, and pick someone like Thresh, or Braum. Someone 100% dependent on their team doing damage. So then they pick these champs, already defeated from the champ select of even having to support, and proceed to either fail on their own, or watch their teammates fail, and then get mad and talk about how bad support is and how it can't carry. They stay gold starved because of how hard it is to amass gold on relic mid/late, and just hate the role. Or they pick stuff like Soraka/Janna/etc. Things that 100% rely on their team to carry the game.

Meanwhile, you can just pick Brand/Zyra/Morg/Annie/Lux/whatever, and absolutely crush games and most of the time either be equal to everyone in the game, or far surpass them all in damage. And, never be gold starved or have to rely on your teammates to do damage. And if you are carrying and need farm? Well, with all the AP items you got, you can easily just clear waves yourself instead of fighting tooth and nail for a relic proc. I could link a ton of games where I just murdered it on kills and damage playing Morg/Brand/Lux.

I mean all you have to build to appease your team, is Eye of the Watcher, which is a very good item on its own and cheap as hell. After that you just go straight AP and no one cares.

And this is why I think people hate support. Its actually relaxing sometimes to just play Brand/Morg/Zyra in teh bot lane and 100% focus on killing people all game. But its incredibly frustrating to play tank supports or janna equivalents and watch your team fail helplessly around you and there isnt anything you can do but hope they get better. If you play a Mage, you dont have to worry about that.

I go Karthus support. I harass the crap out of the other team and starve them. And since people don't get spell shield items early on, I can finish off my opponents when they'd otherwise have a close yet successful escape. Remember, nobody can escape a Karthus ult.
