[SPECULATION] How do you think the new items/pre-season will impact the mid-lane?

How do you think the new items/pre-season changes will impact the mid-lane? I think they will put any mage with a mana-sustain gimmick into the spotlight because of the removal of mana potions. In addition to this I also believe Malzahar ( and other DOT mages ) will be able to use the new Corrupting Potion very well due to his ( or their ) DOT abilities; allowing him ( or them ) to rush something like a Zhonya's or Rylai's before building Liandry's Torment. This is just speculation and I'd love to see the opinion's of others as far as what these changes will do to the mid-lane mages.
