How About A "Must Play Five Games With This Champion Before Playing Them In Ranked" Feature?

I'm in the loading screen now for a Ranked game. Our ADC says he's going to try Kalista. I'm in Platinum, why am I still getting these people?

You're in bronze until you reach diamond (Jokes aside, something about those people need to be done)

How about must win 5 games. Playing 5 games is a pointless limitation because it has lots of holes in it.

Yeah. This sucks. I ask that Riot look into something like this for Ranked. I don't say much on the forums but this is a big problem for me.

5 games is way too little. Might as well keep it at the 0 it is....I would say it takes a minimum of 15-20 games to be able to play a champ competitively and that's for veteran players, not new lvl 30's.

This doesn't fix anything, while it causes quite a few problems.

Complex champions,Kalista Fiora Zed and the like, are not champions you can get the hang of in five games, so adding that restriction doesn't do much to fix inexperienced players.

Simple champions, Alistar Zyra Hecarim and the like, don't require 3-4 hours of practice to play them effectively; Ali can do fine even if he is first time, Zyra and Hec just need maybe 1-2 games to get the hang of it.

What about players who only play ranked? Their normals MMR is absolute garbage, so practicing in normals doesn't prepare them for ranked anyway.

What about players who aren't that hardcore? There are 136 champions. At 45 minutes per game, this would add 3.75 hours to the grind per champion. This change would, overnight, add 510 hours to the grind.

So no more making picks that fit the needs of a team.

"We need CC and a tank" -> "Sorry guys, haven't played 5 games with Malphite"

A person can know the game as a total well enough to be able to contribute with most champions that do not have intricate mechanics. There is no reason to be locked out of everyone because there are exceptions like Riven and Kalista and you managed to get the person who thought it would be a good idea to try them out.
