Counters to Grievous Wounds?

Was wondering if there were any decent counters to grievous wounds. I'm an Illaoi main and the best thing i can do is just build more health and/or healing to counteract it as much as possible.

I'm not a bad illaoi by far (570k mastery, 62% winrate, lvl 7), but i was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Playing a game with 3 Ignites, a Morello, and Mortal Reminder just sucks. Even if i built only tank, we didnt have the damage to win (our support lux was taking CS in lane)

Even doesnt remove the Grievous Wound debuff/disable sadly.

Any suggestions from the higher elos?

Nope. No counter, and rightfully so.

Building health/tankier is the only counter pretty much. Was just wondering if anyone had suggestions itemization wise or something thats all.

I mean I'm not higher elo, and I imagine you already do as much, but building a item 3065 would reduce the effectiveness of Grievous Wounds by a bit, although I don't know if it would work additively or multiplicatively. The only other things I could think of would be running Wind Speakers (Which is a horrible idea), and taking the Mastery that increases all healing effects (which everyone does anyway)

No, there aren't really any counters because it would make the game really confusing. Damage is really easy to see. Healing is a direct counter to that, and it's relatively easy to see. Grevious wounds is a counter to healing, and it's hard to see. Countering grevious wounds would be really hard to see.

The same concept applies to armor penetration.

Guess i'll either delay the death through tankiness, or kill them faster then huh.
