3 to 1 surrender vote, teammate DCs to let it go through

TTK Dreadnought··9 votes·674 views

I put this in Misc because its not a bug, but it's kinda agitating to find out this can be done.

Team does a 3 [yes] to 1 [no] surrender vote and our Cassiopeia DC's before the vote ended and the vote went through as a 3:1 surrender because our shen wouldnt vote.

Has anyone seen this before because this is the first i have.

Leaver buster doesn't ban players.

Yea, I know that.

That is in fact a bug, it shouldn't count her surrender vote at all, you should report it.

thanks for the idea gona try it next time i have a team that wont surender a lost game and rather extend it by 30 min when it was over at 10 min

Whiny open mids like you are the reason we don't have nice things. If the game was "over" at 10 minutes, but extended 30 minutes, you probably had MULTIPLE opportunities to come back

thats why i was annoyed at this. i was nautilus against jayce and was actually doing fine in lane. enemy lux and zac were doing well in the mid lane. however, i had no MR yet due to finishing sunfire. i bet once i had some MR we could of started turning it around because i'd be able to ignore lux for a while.

sadly enough. a few more minutes is just too much to ask for when youre trying to be tanky for your team.

Most of the time it's just the other team dicking around and getting kills is why the game doesn't end.

wait, what? who did not vote? 3 to 1 sounds like 4 people voted, and shen didn't. Not sure about cass, did she vote before leaving, or not? if yes, what did she vote (did she start the vote)

Why is this considered a bug? you have a dc, there's a surr vote before the dc meaning someone's giving up, and another person dc/ing, and shen makes it 4 votes instead of 5. What am I missing? What is the problem?

I believe it is a case of

Cass Yes player 2 Yes player 3 Yes player 4 No Shen Waiting

If there are only four people in the game 3 votes equal surrender even if all the votes haven't come in yet. It appears that Cassiopea disconnecting lowers the required number of votes needed to surrender to 3 from 4 without removing her vote. So all 5 votes could have come in but since there were 4 players only 3 yes votes were needed to get a yes vote.

So that is a bug.

Interesting. I can see how this can be abused to force unwanted ff, but also helpful if the troll who won't surrender has a friend :D Tho I wonder what happens to the d/c if they don't reconnect fast enough, leaverbuster might stamp them.

Yes, please fix, Riot. It's a neat albeit new implementation so we can't be too rough on em, and at the same time: Nice find!

If they voted no, you'd be forcing the people into a hostage situation to stay in the game.

Imagine if they were two premade trolls, saying no. You'd stay in the game to avoid leaverbuster penalties, and have to deal with the trolling.

If you hate that particular game so much to the point that you'll DC, it might as well be over. Even if they stayed, they'd just be toxic, go on tilt, feed, and generally be a hinderance.

Even if it was 3/2, that means the minority is holding the majority of the team hostage.
