why does a flamer have a chance at getting banned but not feeders?

How is that even fair? I rather have a flamer carrying me than having a feeder on my team. They both ruin the game experience for their team but you are given an option to mute the flamer but you cant do anything about a feeder on your team besides watching yourself to LP

  1. Intentional feeders do get banned.

  2. Riot bases what they ban on from how the community chooses to report and how Tribunal voted on millions of cases. A lot of people are bothered enough by verbal abuse to report it, and Tribunal overwhelmingly punished players who were huge jerks to their teammates.

This is your schtick? You like these types of posts don't ya! Lol. We will have many lively debates in the future, I assure you! It's nice to have some one who can present a contending view point while considering as many factors as possible and be able to critically think about an issue from every angle.

I'd rather have a respectful feeder than a disrespectful loud mouth. I'll take a loss over having to sit through a game with some random jackass any day.

Not really. They do get banned. They aren't specifically targeted by the latest system released, but they do still face punishment.

Well, seeing as how intentional feeders are punished, and seeing as how he did not offer a whole lot of clarification in his post, I'm going to continue working off the assumption he simply means people who are playing poorly and dieing a lot.

you think that way because you dont win either way

I don't play League to win, I play it to have fun with some friendly competition. I don't enjoy it when someone ruins that for me and forces me to sit through 20+ minutes of idiocy.

If someone dies a lot oh well, if they are trying to get better I'll offer any advice that I can, and if not I'll just shut up and make the most of it by working on my own mechanics. That's far better than having someone insult me or someone else for the same amount of time.

As xkcd puts it "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can make me think I deserved it".

You better stick to normals with that attitude. If you bring it to ranked you are a scumbag. Competitive play should be reserved for COMPETITORS.

Did you not read my first sentence? I'm here for competition because competition is how I have fun. What on earth did you read to get that opinion of me?

Most people don't complain hardcore about feeders on the boards because they had a feeder in a normal game. I just assumed it was competitive play. I'd much rather have a rude, verbally abusive ass hat in a ranked game than a feeder, intentional or otherwise. I'll take the flaming asshole all day. I can ignore or mute a jerk. I can't stop a troll from trolling.

If sticks and stones broke your bones and the words made you think you deserved it, you are a mentally weak individual and any competitive setting is not for you. You think jj watt cries to goodell about how some one was talking mess? Or does he just go out and put on a show? I want the players on my team who want to put on a show.

Really though, if you can be convinced by some one else that you deserved the abuse they heaped at you... You did. Grow up. Be man. Stop being so damn sensitive on the fucking internet. It's the fucking 21st century and people act like it's a surprise to find some filth on it.

I take it you've never heard of xkcd then, or of a point not necessarily applying to the person who is making it.

Now, not everyone is actually mentally stable. The point I was trying to make with that quote (which is from a rather popular web comic, by the way) is that words can carry real weight with them. Some jackass might simply be blowing off steam because he's frustrated, but his words can mean something else entirely to another person. There's a reason Riot bans people who say "kill yourself", and it's not because other people are overly sensitive.

Secondly what the living fuck man. You dedicated two paragraphs to telling me to man up? Next time I quote something I'll be sure to provide a link to it so no one overreacts and just about calls me a pussy for no reason. I mean seriously, that's the largest overreaction I've seen on these boards.

You're right about it being the 21st century though. People do need to grow up, but it's also not the 50s anymore. You can actually talk about what's on your mind and show some emotion without looking weak.

Jack owes me 3 bucks, I managed someone even more cynical than he is.

Exactly!!! You can mute a rager. Can't do anything to a feeding troll or suffer a ban. Pretty much they can say nothing the whole game, go 0/15 and nothing will ever happen. Riot will just let them do as they will ruining the game for the rest of us.

This community overwhelming would rather lose with friends than win with assholes. It's a nerd thing I think. Coming from a sports background its really confusing.

Feeder could be having a bad game, may not be very good and trying to get better at the game like everyone else

azrolator1 votes

It's clear when he says that feeders don't get banned that he is talking about people who have a negative k/d ratio and not intentional suicides to the other team. So another person whining that it has negative consequences when they are giant jerks to people trying to have some fun playing a game. Count your blessings that it is over the internet where you get banned instead of punched in the face and lose friends for horrible behavior.

Because riots policy is that flaming intentional feeders and trolls and griefers and afkers is wrong. Their actions aren't detrimental to the team, yours are you flamer. Sheez, let the trolls troll in peace ffs.

Being a good sport is even more important than winning. You act as if you are the best player around and all of your teammates are holding you back... ALSO! I looked in your match history and I can see games where I could say you were feeding, where you were having a bad day, on tilt, etc. so it happens to everyone and you have to accept it.
