Riot, please delay new champions and start updating old champion models/splash.
Personally, I believe the majority of people who main a champion that has an older model/splash arts would appreciate a **LOT ** more visual champion updates than new characters.
With the rise of new, more complex models, old champions that don't have problematic gameplay's visuals are approaching or have already hit a point of being obsolete - with some of them only having up to 15 voice lines total, a hyperbolic difference between champions like Zoe, Swain, Yorick etc. who have upwards of 60-80 unique voice lines.

All of the above listed champions have the issue of models that are still stuck in 2009, the triangular, bulky and low-poly models do not look remotely like anything there splash arts depict. Of those above, Riot has slated all but the following for full VGU's in the near future leaving:

With not enough gameplay problems to qualify for a full VGU, but in dire need of a Visual Update regardless. If Riot doesn't prioritize updating old models in extreme cases like Jax, Singed and Yi who have never had updated visuals since there release, they are not going to be touched until all of the current roster of VGU's have been completed - which at the current rate may take upwards to 5+ years if not more. The solution is simple, designate a new or existing team to exclusively focus on updating old champion models, particles and splash arts - and for those who have 15 or less voice lines, new voice lines. No gameplay updates required, but if in the future these champions are in need of a Gameplay Update, then ONLY a gameplay update would be needed.
By getting some of the future work off of your plate, Riot can delay new champion releases for a while and devote more time to those of us who main older champions. You don't choose your main, your main chooses you - it is time to give back to the community of devoted players who main those champions and invest some resources into the champions that won't be seeing full VGU's for another 5+ years.
Please listen to your community, once all the old champions have been updated Riot can focus exclusively on making all the new champions they'd like and prioritize all teams working together on new content for the game!
