Think we could reduce the Cooldown on Tear stacking to twice every 4 seconds instead of 8?

Just seems like the Tear items all take too long to stack in a game where quick ends seem to be the norm.

Faster stacking would make sense, but not by lowering the CD - that only benefits the few champs who already have super-quick cooldowns. They should just increase the mana boost each stack gives, so it takes fewer to complete.

Tear is an out dated item that no longer fits into the design and pace of league.

Ezreal is in the jungle because tear auto loses lane and no longer gives him a real powerspike. By the time you have manamube and triforce....you are way behind a crit adc.

Jayce only saw play when he stopped building it.

Ryze is stuck with it because of his passive.

No one else legit builds it on a regular basis outside of trolling norms.

Riot is worried about damage and mobility creep when what they should really worry about is speed creep. Games are ending far too soon, and the solution isn't to speed up the slow scaling items to compensate.

I'm not sure I understand the point of this really. I'm looking over my avg gametimes on my 2 accounts. Gold 5 and gold 2.. and in both the avg gametime is 30 minutes. You can stack a tear to max in 30 mins...

imo while in the current meta that is needed i feel like that would just feed the beast that is 15 minute league even more. i think we should reduce it to maybe 6 or 7 seconds and then work on increasing the length of games

Change it to a ramping buff where slower casting champs get more stacks per cast imo. Imo an eve spamming Q and a mage that has a 12second cast should be able to build at roughly the same speed.

League shitty early game meta needs to end. Buffing tear like that is no. Just no.

Manamune though... why is it 4 mana stacks? Should be 8 just like Archangel's.

To be honest, they should:

  • As suggested, make Tear stack faster and more efficiently
  • I would also suggest to bring back the toggle component of the item where if item 3042 's effect were to be turned on, it would apply the same passive (which is Shock) but if it's turned off, it gives back mana
  • I know that the mana gain from the item is similar to item 3508 but let's face it; Ezreal doesn't build this item because it has no spot in his preferred builds and that he's a poor crit user.

Twice every four seconds? It's capped for a reason: It's a late-game powerhouse item (Seraph's is vital for having the most AP, and gives more AP than Rabadon's does without its passive!), and it being 2/4s would just make it basically uncapped.

Someone like Karthus could stack it in mere moments that way.

I would be fine with something like 2/6s on its upgrades, but not 2/4s, and not on Tear itself.

Riot plays with adapative power (Giving either magic bonus or attack damage bonus based on what you have) on runes. Maybe along with faster stacking tear could get like 10-20 adapative ap or ad to help with csing on champs and keep you from falling off completely. I feel like it would be rather strong on people like ryze and cass though but it's just an idea.

riot buff the item so it stack faster riot conclude that the item power in the mid game is too strong and proceed to change it in to a super late game item that give alot more mana but takes forever to complete

If they just transferred the boosted stack speed of ARAM/TT tear to SR that would help a lot, since they give more mana per spell cast, which feels more rewarding and less demanding on your mana pool than simply more stacks in a certain time frame. It opens up the opportunity to use tear items on less spammy champs.

That aid, fixing tear's stack rate doesn't hold any value if the finished items are comparatively worthless for items in a similar price range.

Whenever a single target AD caster gets updated or added to league, i immediately test item 3004 on them. I personally LOVE how much AD manamune gives from just its own stats. But with how fast games are now both it and stafffffffffffffffffffffffff are practically useless

I think the stacking time is fine. item 3003 just isn't good for the gold/time investment as a short duration shield with long cooldown isn't very rewarding. The AP bonus passive isn't anything special, either.

especially as a jungler unfortunately, I always wanted to use the Masamune as eve, but even with hatespikes being as long as a cooldown as it is, I can't charge the tear because I need minions around to fire it prematurely.

I personally wish for champions Like evelynn jg, they would make it so Jg camps increase the stacks earned, or add it to a Timer that Decreases by X amount every time you cast a spell, and you get bonus's for last hitting.

This has a very small impact on how fast it stacks What would need to happen is something like tear stacking 6 or 8 mana every mana use

Also, coming from a person that LITERALLY buys that item almost every single game.

Tell me what real use Tear would have on a Malzahar, Annie, Kassadin, Swain, etc. Yeah thats a nice shield and all, but it took you 8 minutes + 2900 gold to use an item that isn't even effect on you. Vs Me on Ryze, Cass, Ziggs, Ez. Taking 4 minutes to fully stack that. Tear is fine where it is at right now.
