i just played my first match with malzahar in over a month and i still cant see how he is op. his damage is so bad that i could do a full rotation of my skills and not 100-0 people. his r has become one of the worst ults in the game. if the ult was just the damage and no supression IT WOULD BE, as the damage is so bad. the ONLY good ability he has right now is his W. however the instant the enemy takes out the first voidlings i have to hilariously toss my e and q to try and damage them when e's constant damage is laughable even with the reset off of q.

if you want to play a dot mage just pick brand who does it better and can 100-0.

Eh, it's more of just bad design. A passive like his will always be either garbage or OP. His pattern of just ignoring the enemy laner and making it incredibly oppressive between his Voidlings and Visions is unhealthy and makes it near impossible to CS in laning without losing a good chunk of health. And then just having two really good CCs on hand at a low cooldown. Bad design and oppressive.

when i used him. i can see how he can be oppresive by keeping distance and spamming voildings with aids.

however if you play enough against him and you focus your attention to "the first" voidling that spawns and kill it quickly he will have nothing to go for him. as his damage overall is pretty low now.

overall though while the rework does make more more useful in a way besides his past "anti-assassin" kit, i am still overall upset over his identity being kinda ruined/changed.

the thing is that any other mage champ could possibly kill with a full rotation of abilities. the problem is that malzahar cant. they might have a quarter health left or so.

the only way for someone to possibly die from "this" malzahar is by doing something extremely stupid against him.

they've turned him into a dot mage except that his dot sucks when compared to other mages who do more damage way faster than him. heck if he casts voidlings out too early and you see his e go on a minion you could rush him and he could possibly die.

everyone wants to say he is op like yasuo or zed except that they dont give valid reasons as to why he is op unlike zed or yasuo.

He is the best pick mage in the entire game, sets up ganks better then almost any other mid laner, is way tankier then other mages and has huge objective control. Hes a top 3 mid laner in the game. Not sure what elo you are but it is showing

how does he setup ganks? he has such low mobility the enemy could get away easily unless they over extended in the lane. he does have decent obj control and he is tanky but other than that he wont do alot of damage in a fight.

he may be a good mage but by no means is he op like everyone else says.

He can follow up on ganks better then any other mid laner, gragas lands bodyslam? all malz has to do is press R and that enemy is 99 percent dead. Also his dps in fights is higher then other mages, he doesnt do as much upfront damage as a leblanc maybe but he does more damage over the course of a team fight. He is op and thats why hes been getting nerf after nerf. His kit is extremely toxic to lane against and his pick potential and objective control is ridiculous

malz laning is beyond bullshit right now. he has his cancerous ability negating any of your spells and his goddamn summons do more damage than 3 minions each . his ulti is useless in lane since he shits on you with his combo over and over and on the off chance that you stay, he will ulti and finish you off.

fuck that spell shield and fuck the goddamn tankiness on that champ.

bro its cuz you dont know how to play against him. all you gotta do is kill the first voidling that spawns. in the early game he cant do nothing for like 15-20 sec after you kill the first one.

Uh but the Voidling spawns another one the first time it attacks anything. And each Voidling has a decent chunk of health.
