I guess you went into the promos and lost 3 times? Would make sense since you are at 100 LP at the start of the promos loosing 54 LP over 3 games.

would also be if he won 2 games and then lost the next 3. since you can't go above 100 LP, it doesn't matter. He must have just lost 3 games in a row somewhere out of the 5 promos

I don't think it's the same.

Don't think if he won 2 THEN lost 3 he would be at 46LP after. But I could be wrong. OP can enlighten us

I would assume it depends on how much LP you lose per match, which is different for everyone. Unless it's a static amount no matter what when you are in promos, Although I find that highly unlikely

Yes, of course.

My point was that I believe you get an "LP cushion" so to speak for the wins you get in promos.

Like this, you hit 100LP get in promos lose 3 games without winning any games it means after promos you will be 100LP-3 losses worth of LP. Whereas if you hit 100LP enter promos, win 2 games and lose 3 games after promos you will have more LP than in the previous example. But I am not 100% positive this is how it works.

Maybe if in the first case you are with 50ish LP after promos, and in the second case you are with 75ish LP. (it all obviously depends on how much you win or lose AKA your MMR)

I am pretty sure there is no LP cushion above 100. you can be safe if you did a lose-lose-win-win-lose. then you would probably drop out of your promos around mid 80LP or something, cause it would probably count as just 1 lose, but if you start at 100 and go win-win-lose-lose-lose it's pretty much the same just losing 3 times at the start, you can't go above 100 LP
