Am I playing kindred wrong?
So I'm a relatively new player, ranked down in the potato bracket, who recently saved up and bought kindred because I loved their design and playstyle. And I still do love their playstyle after playing them a bunch, but I have noticed something a bit odd.
I have low grades at the end of matches, but still a pretty high winrate. A higher winrate than could easily be explained by luck or randomness. I also have bad cs, k/d ratios, and farm to an extent. I'm almost always underleveled (at or below the level that bot lane has), frequently underfarmed and only break even on k/d in the late game if at all. I'd love to know how you guys with more experience might explain this, but here's what I think;
My kindred play is functioning as the jungle equivalent of Singed. I spend so much time roaming and going after marks that I'm always behind in the early/mid game, but I usually manage to pick up at least a few while I'm at it. In the mean time, the enemy jungler is constantly having to counter my invades and fight me for marks instead of ganking or moving on to new jungle camps. A lot of the time people even come from their lanes to stop me from getting marks (I had one game where jungle, top, and mid came to guard every single mark), missing experience and cs and giving my laners a chance to get ahead. Every second I spend trying to get marks, the other jungler has to spend defending them, frequently also wasting the time of laners. In addition to my occasionally successful ganks. Although I fall behind in the early game, I do so while picking up the permanent max hp shred that will allow me to scale well into the late game.
Is this accurate? Should I be doing something different? At least it explains the discrepancy between my stats and my w/l rate.
