Anyone else feel like ranked is s complete joke? You spend all your time earning you LP playing 30~60min games only to lose it the next game to a troll, afk, feeder, etc in 12-20mins. Also, what happened to the cushion you receive for being promoted? I won my promo games 2-0 and lost 1 game at 0 points and got demoted again. All that hard work for nothing. Ranked is a joke. I'm not saltly I'm just telling it like it is. The system needs a huge kick in the ass because it is extremely broken right now.

Ranked is there to test you out under stressful circumstances mostly. I mean, this is a completely team-oriented game, and playing solo won't really let ya do a whole lot, ya know?

So, just accept it for what it is, and have fun with it. The best way to play ranked is to find a team you can play with regularly. Only problem there is, you tend to play the same role every damn game... Gets boring after a while.

Yes, it is a team game. But, how does Riot justify an entire team losing LP and rewarding 5 players for something they did not earn just because someone wants to troll? Because that happened to me twice in my promo. I had to go through my promo 4x because 2 of them I had someone troll pick, feed, and then afk.

Yes, it is a team game. But, how does Riot justify an entire team losing LP and rewarding 5 players for something they did not earn just because someone wants to troll? Because that happened to me twice in my promo. I had to go through my promo 4x because 2 of them I had someone troll pick, feed, and then afk.

Because no matter how much it sucks when that happens, there is no way to really prevent problems like that occurring without having a real person manually look over every game...

Bottom line is, the system will always be horribly flawed, we just got to hope for improvements along the way.

Though, the new leaver detector should help out a lot. Either way though... Don't put any value into solo queue. The only reason I'm mad over it, is because the only thing I want or care about in this game is the Diamond border and I can't fkin get past Plat 2 with the current bad luck streak I'm on. I went something like 15-4 since entering Platinum tier, and in P2 alone I'm 1-7... All 7 games had my team beaten within 15 minutes and never got out of lane phase, nor did any of those matches have a single teamfight in them...

Entirely luck based man...

That sucks. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. At least you are high ELO. Congratz on Platinum. I'm struggling in SIII. It should be such a simple fix though. Riot should simply put in place that if by the end of the game there was clearly an AFK (The red named people at the end) the game should be either:

A) Void for both teams because a 5v4 or 5v3 or anything besides a fair 5v5 isn't really earning your LP. or B) Only the winning team gets LP and the losing team either doesn't loss anything (Loss prevented) or they only lose 1/2 or 1/3 of the normal LP.

Because it is clearly not fair. I don't mean to sound like a whiner but it is true. I'm sure a lot of people would agree with this and the proposal to fix it.

Whether you get demoted or not depends on your MMR. If your MMR is way too low, you won't have a grace period for demotion protection (or will have less of one).
