Is honor fair?
Hmm I don't think so. https://twitter.com/Rey_Honchkrow/status/880927034008096768

Why does it even matter though?
Because of Honor Rank.
Which is minimally affected by the amount of honor you get.
I would imagine honor in most people's minds would have less to do with KDA and farm and more to do with objectives and demeanor in chat. I, for one, would rather honor someone who is encouraging my teammates and calling shots on objectives than someone who says nothing or is toxic and farms kills and CS. Keep in mind that I don't have the full picture here, so I'm just giving a hypothetical scenario—because that's basically all you presented for us.
Try to be more encouraging in chat, if nothing else. We can't see your chatlogs or your objective control from that one picture, so we can't accurately judge why your teammates decided not to honor you. Just my two cents'.
Edit: Also, please keep in mind that the other people in the match are exactly that—people. If they decide not to honor, or to honor someone other than you, that's their imperative. Riot doesn't control who hands our honors to whom; they just implemented the system.
If an ADC has a good support they will probably honor them over you. If the junger ganks a lot and helps a lane that is failing. He will probably get the honor. Just carrying doesnt mean much to a player who was getting dicked in lane.
By this I want to say that I feel so ungrateful by my effort. Now that Honor is a thing...
It is a system to reward behavior, not performance.
Theres not an honor for carrying so....
That's a pretty tough question... Can you have honor without being fair? Or is being fair honorable?
I don't know though. Honor died a long time ago.
You gotta play good to get honor. Git gud.
