My thoughts about the game and the community

I have been playing for almost a year now. i have had great times playing, also bad times playing. I learned some things by playing this game and I'm going to write them here. I really appreciate if you read them and share your opinion, feedback is needed for a change. This is mostly for ranked games.

There is no thing such as "Victory" in this game, unless in the competitive scene. You lose or you simply don't lose. (Remember this, it is so important for the upcoming text and interpretation). So, whenever you are waiting for the queue to prepare a game, you may be thinking about what will you pick, trying to have a good mentality (reminder, may) and prepare yourself for the game. But, will you feel great after maybe losing a game that took 40 minutes of your life and because someone didn't have enough acknowledge of the game or simply decided to do badly? What is elo outside of League of Legends? Even inside of it. A standard to say good or bad player? Winning a golden and exclusive skin for getting to Gold, or maybe a Challenger Jacket? Wow, magnificent. (Irony here)

There is always a "troll or feeder". You win the game? Someone on the enemy team took bad decisions or you simply took better decisions than them (It kinda is the same thing, if you are better than them, they may be "bad" or at least worse) You lose? Same thing, but now that guy is on your team or maybe it is you. Many times I try to put myself onto the other side. When I lose, I feel bad, maybe I did badly, maybe someone did badly. And when I win, probably someone on the enemy team will feel bad because of this.

People try to find a reasoning to why there are many trolls or whatever. So, 2. explains that perfectly. And you can't avoid it to happen. Either you lose or you don't lose, but you don't win at all. "Do your job, carry yourself". Typical sentences of "How to climb elo" videos. You can't do this. Finding an answer on how to resolve a problem that 1/2/3/4/5 persons cause? Huh, nice try. A simple bad decision can make you lose. And that's how this game works.

Well, I think those arguments are enough for now. So, as you can see, you can't find a solution for how this game works and you can't change it. So now your decision belongs to you. You know what you want to do with your life (Maybe not, it happens aka me) If you enjoy the game, have a healthy gameplay and it's all okay with you, fine, enjoy while you can. If not, i would recommend you to stop falling with the same stone. Maybe you have to change your mindset if you really like the game but are so burned because of the community. I honestly recommend people that want to have a life doing what they like, to think about their life, if playing League of Legends is healthy for you or not. That's all I gotta say I think. Sorry if my English was bad. Hope this made you think about your life :)

I like how this is probably the best post here and makes some good points but no one is commenting because the only people on this board are ones that want to shame people having trouble with bans, so it doesn't interest them.

I mean, the post is great Yeah you either "lose or don't lose", I don't quite get it but hey if that works for you by all means.

I see the game as a hobby winning or losing is a temporary side effect of playing after all it is but a game so as long as it's enjoyable its great(win or loss) whats not fun are certain toxic elements in the game

So yes its all about the mindset

As far as youtubers go, they're doing it for revenue, Have problem X, here's solution Y click bait words, to generate money for themselves sure they may want to sit down and talk about the real problems sky Williams or something like that

My English is bad so yeah that maybe explains why you didn’t understand what I meant by “Lose or don’t lose” I feel like Victory isn’t a real thing for non-pro players. Victory means that you win something. And, what do you win whenever you win a ranked game? You may feel good after winning a game, but you don’t really win anything at all. So that’s the point. Cost-Benefit.

For example, whenever you are going to play a ranked game, do you expect you are going to lose? I mean, if you don’t feel confident you shouldn’t play ranked and stuff but that’s not my point. My point is, Victory is what you expect, so it is not a good thing at all, it is simply a non-disappointment to your expectations. Of course this is my point of view and can be applied for many other sports and life in general I think.

No you're good You have the mind set that if you're not getting paid its a lose lose situation

Which makes alot of sense if your aim is to go pro or make gaming a job for yourself But to me league is just a hobby, a time waster if you will For me playing the game itself is a win winning and losing inside the game is a temporary feeling one I don't look back on.

Just a mind set difference You're seeing league as a game not for itself a game but as some means to an end in which case yeah it'll be a lose lose unless you're being paid for me league is a game in which I enjoy as a game which means my time input is irrelevant as long as at the end of the session I am happy. Does that help explain my side a bit more?

Yep, thank you for sharing it with me :) I mean the only way I really have fun playing is when I have a good game with a Champ I like or ARAM

I don't really understand what you're trying to say or what your issue is.

So, the fact of posting anything in the Player Behavior means that I have to talk about a ban or someone that is a troll “please rito ban” or whatever? I just gave my point of view about the trolls, the toxicity and kind of how the game works. Trolls will always exist and it can’t be solved. It is part of the game.
