Who's idea was to give Aatrox a revive (not saying it it op rather that it is almost useless)

Like for real i rely like to know the thought process of giving him a revive. Were there no better passives you could think of or you just needed a passive for him quick. If you think other wise give explanations as well why you think the revive isn't useless on him.

Pros

  • Second chance to live.
  • Pretty low cooldown and max level.

Cons

  • Second chance to die.
  • Loss of base stats.
  • Huge handicap once popped.
  • Upon revival loss of all auto speed boost.
  • Don't get a lot of hp back.
  • Doesn't make sense on him at all. (logicly or lore wise).
  • Weaker for having a revive.

Here are some explanations Link

The problem with Aatrox's passive isn't that it's too weak.

It's that it's so strong that almost all of his power budget resides inside of that passive, so the rest of Aatrox is honestly pretty underwhelming.

If you are going to look anywhere on Aatrox's kit to help him. His passive is the absolute last thing that needs to be looked at.

There is nothing wrong with his passive and a lot of the new items help Aatrox out alot, specially Death's Dance.

If you die lategame, your passive is useless...

Only thing wrong with his passive is that his kit doesn't really help it out.

Regardless of it being useless or not, at least don't be biased when you list the pros and cons.

"second chance to die" --> dying the first time does not grant the enemy team xp nor gold, it only stalls and causes them to use more resources on you "loss of base stats" --> = "weaker for having a revive" "don't get a lot of hp back" -> max rank he can get up to 1174,5 hp back (fact, not saying it is a lot), aswell as having a guaranteed revival, unlike zac and anivia. "doesn't make sense on him" -> why not?

Imo give it an aoe push away of enemy champs so he has a moment to fight or flee. When I do play him I get insta-cc the moment I revive.

Revive passives are good against burst and poor against sustained damage.

Game currently is a shit ton of damage of all varieties, meaning he dies instantly and gets back up just to die again.

The revive is good in his kit. He steals blood from enemies and uses it as a life source. It's a good passive, just the other champions that have revives are bursty or tanky.

He's an amazing tower diver, especially in ganks. That's why he's so cheesy and had to be nerfed into oblivion because of how ridiculous he is at that one thing. His whole kit is way to snowbally. I actually enjoy playing him even though he's underpowered (I don't play him unless I don't care about winning) but honestly he's one of those champions that needs a rework before he's ever made viable again. Because viable aatrox will ruin games.

Uhh what? his revive is WAY better than Anivia's egg or Zac's blobs.

What more do you want? WTF?

The revive is fine, the rest of his kit not so much.
