Very Noticeable difference between Bronze 2 and Bronze 3-4.

I'm trying to get to silver and I've noticed that around bronze 2 the game becomes considerably harder than it was at Bronze 4.

There are more people playing better champs (bruisers esp), more focused pushes after winning teamfights, a LITTLE more warding, more willingness to run rather than chase, or even sit at an objective instead of drift forward as the waves push, etc. It's a slightly different game than Bronze 4 was.

I believe that the difference between bronze 4 and bronze 2 is less than the difference between Silver 4 and Silver 2, just because of the proportion of players in the divisions (% being larger in bronze than silver). Does that sound about right? Do the divisions converge in skill and playstyle more in the higher tiers?

Anyways, I play mostly Annie and I am having a lot more difficult time carrying games in Bronze 4. Any suggestions? I'm sort of waiting for the 30% off runes to spend my IP, if I can avoid it, but I have all the 1350 and 450 champs and a bunch of runes.

There are differences in skill at higher tiers but it only starts to become significantly noticeable around Gold. If you cant carry games in Bronze 4 then you need to practice up on the basics of the game: Last hitting, team fighting, warding, champ mechanics, roaming, and taking objectives

if you think wins and loses are whether or not you carry, you're not ready to be promoted.

it's a team game, not me + 4 noobs vs 5 enemies.

One thing that's a little weird here is that when I say what mains I'm planning on playing, they get banned by my team lke 5-10% of the time. Is that normally something you'd see in silver/gold/plat or ... is this specifically a bronze thing?

It's probably just he normal differences you find in any tier between people who are already low in the tier and have nothing to lose vs people who are almost ready to move on and so have more to lose. The increased tension causes the ones who are aiming for the next tier to tighten their game up and play more carefully. Once you break into silver 5 for example people will suddenly be more relaxed and yolo again.
