League is 80% skill, 20% luck.

I can't help but feel that League does include a lot of luck.

Let's say you are in a team fight and your ping decides to spike up as soon as the fight starts. That's bad luck.

You can control how you play, but you can't control your teammates. The pros always say to "carry harder" but why is it your job to carry? What's the point of a TEAM game? Isn't it to have all 5 contribute? If even one person feeds, it ruins the game. Remember that it always takes 5 people to win, and just 1 person to lose. A well rounded team win good communication is always stronger than 1 single fed person. I just don't know why it's only 1 person's job to carry harder when everyone should be pulling their weight.

Solo queue is more like 8% skill... 92% luck.

Actually it's 10% Luck, 20% Skill, 15% Concentrated Power of Will, 5% Pleasure, 50% Pain.

No that's when you are either too lazy to run a wired connection or don't pay for the internet/house to run a cord. Neither of those are controlled by luck, now if you were crit 6 times in a row at dragon by an ulting twitch with runaans bf sword ( a .07% chance) you could bitch about luck. As of right now I get exclusive rights to that : ^)

15% Skill 60% Luck 25% Teamwork

agbudar3/4/2017, 9:26:16 PM1 votes

20% per person so in actuality its 20% skill and 80% luck.

you have no clue who you are gonna get matched with.

now some might say but there are 10 people in the game so its only 10% skill.

no your skill level determines wether or not your lane wins or loses. a person behind is often a liability to their team and not a contributing factor so you turn their "10%" into 20% for yourself. and visa versa.

Others have the same "luck"

So it evens eachother out.

Hey at least it's not Hearthstone, where those two numbers are reversed.

It is your job to carry only if you want to climb (meaning you are better than your elo). You can always have a contribution equal to that expected for your elo.

Volgaria2/27/2017, 5:16:50 PM1 votes

It's at least 15% concentrated power of will

Unlucky472/27/2017, 5:35:19 PM1 votes

I'd say it's more 60/40 but yeah luck plays a large factor

I think it's more decision making and luck and less skill. We can all dodge a skill shot but which direction should we have dodged is what makes good players amazing. (Obviously not counting faker level skill dodging)

FireDrizzle2/27/2017, 8:52:56 PM1 votes

The God of spaghetti decides if a skillshot hits you, thats an other element of luck. I swear I had Lux's ult go straight through me and do nothing.

League of legends should be renamed to Luck of legends because when enemy escape with 2% of hp more then 6 times in a row and when we finally get a kill but support steal it, it can lead to 0/9/4 jhin just as my last game. I decided to troll and don't even care about punishment. I demand one game full of luck, 30/0/0 K/D/A five pentas and mark s+ for sure.

Unless you're playing chess, it's IMPOSSIBLE to remove luck from the game simply because you have 9 other people with their own thoughts on top of crits (which are kind of soft rng from what I understand. meaning if you don't get a crit the first time around, it will lower the odds until you get one but don't quote me)

In a lot of cases, skill outweighs luck by more than you can possibly imagine. Fighting games are the prime example of this with upset turnarounds simply because the opponent is able to capitalize on a mistake or opening. This is why Ahri, Yasuo, and most other assassins were hated because they rely on you making the first move.

As DTN said, luck when preparation meets opportunity. For example: Leona, I'm prepared for an engage, you use a dash/flash to give me the opportunity to turn on you.
