How to poke as vayne?

I carried myself all the way from bronze 5 to silver 5, so i decided to play a ranked game in silver 5 thinking it would be as easy as bronze 1 was. I played vayne and died maybe 4 or 5 times in lane. I didn't really care, because thats what always happened in my vayne games. Id die a few times in lane, then mid to late game i would three shot everything and end up going something like 22 8 17. I found out that Silver 5 is a bit more different than bronze because people actually know how to push and end before late game. The enemy team got three inhibitors between 20 to 30 minutes. Then they got baron and pushed for a sure victory. Recently, ive been playing more aggressive than before because I saw Gosu do so on his stream and still win lane.I used to play back and farm, taking long sword and three health pots to sustain the poke while csing. Now, I poke and start dorans blade and one potion. I end up dying a lot more in lane. How does gosu pull this off without dying? Why don't people poke him as much when he is csing? In bronze people do the all mid thing and teamfight like 5 times per game. In silver 5 no one did that, they would stick two or three at mid and the other two at bot. We would have to constantly run around to save our bot and mid turrets.

You don't poke as Vayne. You either give them free damage or go all in. One does not poke on a champion with 550 range.

You don't poke. You can trade though, by AA > Q > AA > E. Your Q is an auto reset so you get it off faster and your E will proc your W.

Also, you are not gosu. Just play safer during laning.

Poke with a max range Tumble auto attack during the enemy's auto attack animation. Gosu can do it because he's so experienced and good at the character, he knows exactly when he can be aggressive without too much retaliation.

she has small range you really can't unless you are confident your kiting.

Well, you don't really. But, if they over extend without paying attention, you could always AA, Q AA, E them to get a nice lil poke in. Or if they're next to a wall just E-AA-QAA and run. Gets a nice lil poke in. Sometimes they'll stand next to the jg wall if they're pushing your wave to tower.

You can do a little bit of 'poking'. Tumble auto when they go to last hit. It'll lock them in frame so they can't trade back. Also Auto->Tumble[for the faster reset] auto -> E to push them away and proc your W. It's a really good and fast trade that you will usually win.

Of course all of this is hard to say because it all depends on match up as well as what support you have. It just sounds like you need more laning practice in particular to learn the particulars of match ups, trading ranges, and CDs. Keep at it.

You rely on your support to poke or baby you through the lane phase. Just farm, plenty supports are okay with you just farming and not trying to lake LCS plays. If you are lucky enough to get a support main then just let them 1 v 2 until you get a cutlass.

The problem with auto, q, e is that it chunks ur mana. After doing that twice, i wont have enough mana for the all in.
