Champs that need gameplay/kit reworks

what champs do you guys think needs a kit rework

Veigar for the main reason he has no real place in the game, his kit is extremely outdated and heavily relies on on landing his E to do damage most of the time. I just hope when they rework him it wont be as shitty as Cassiopeia , no one deserves a rework as awful as that.

Yasuo he's stupidly toxic while at the same time he's stupidly niche. He really requires his team to pick around him to actually make him a threat. I remember seeing a board on how he can be reworked properly and it was done very well.

Yorick Extremely toxic laning phase, near useless everywhere else. Need i say more?

Urgot Never played him before, but from what i've seen he's in desperate need of a kit rework and visual upgrade

Volibear Just like veigar his kit is outdated and is need of either a tweak or a complete rework. Giving him a buff would make him overbearing(no pun intended) and giving him a nerf would just make him shitter than ever

Gangplank you know why, i shouldn't have to explain

Twitch After the slaughter that he endured in 4.10 say, just give him a kit rework

what do you guys think about the list?

Volibear is actually quite good in the new jungle. Not sure what you are talking about.

IceKingChernobog1 votes

A decent jungler but compared yi and ww he lack sustain. Also his late game is not the greatest when compared to other tanks or bruisers

AtheosisX1 votes

Volibear is straight up better than post-nerf Warwick and has always been better than Yi (who is extremely overrated certain sections of this community). Also his late game is about average for bruisers. There's really nothing wrong with Volibear.

Do you actually have any basis for these kit reworks? Or have you just selected champions you're personally frustrated with ?

IceKingChernobog1 votes

No i don't have a basis for kit reworks, I just selected them because their kits feel old compared to the new champs who come with two or three passives

the Anarchit3cht2 votes

lol. And this is why you would NEVER work for Riot. Or any video game company. Or have any real success in life.

Taric

Yorick

Twitch needs buffs, not rework.

IceKingChernobog1 votes

I agree with taric and yorick they definitely need a visual and kit rework.

It's kinda too late for him to be buffed. I think he needs a kit rework

Azir LeeSin + most of the ranged ad.

i actually prefer them from not touching teemo. because that might bring up the possibility that hes being played again. knowing riots history of reworks, theyre gonna be stubborn and keep the most toxic parts about him. just keep him nerfed to never see play. the risk for possible damage to the game is too high.

look at what happened with kassadin. retarded broken ult makes the champion incredibly unstable when it coems to balancing. either trash tier, or broken op with no middleground. and they nerf his base kit and buff his ult insetad of replacing it...

your point?

rework was exactly what i was talking about. lee sin needs all of the uneccessary shit in his kit removed. like the spellvamp and lifesteal on his w at the least. he needs actual energy costs and at least minor tweaks to his passive, so he doesnt get the energy return and attack speed bonus when he misses his abilities. THEN he needs number tweaks to make him properly viable.

and just like lee sin, azir needs clear counterplay. everything but his turret passive is horribly designed. they ned to change his soldiers to be destructable, and adjust the rest of his kit to work with that change. because otherwise you have no way to fight his ability to zone someone, like you can fight heimers and zyras zoning by destroying or displacing turrets or plants.

and ranged ad have been breaking the game since the beginning. they are the only class that you absolutely need in your team, when you want to have a chance at winning. so far, that they made supports mandatory, to hold their hands throughout the game. they are early game lane bullies when not compared to other ranegd ad, while scaling into the strongest lategame. but thats probably not solved with reworking the champions, but redefining the concept of the whole class.

Hint: ALL energy based champs have means of returning energy to their kits, otherwise they would be unplayable due to being unable to use abilities for half a minute. You can argue about lowering his energy returns, but outright removing them would be worse than Olaf and Urgot put together.

Azir' weak points are either reliable poke Ziggs Xerath Ahri Syndra Or champs that are able to trade and escape reliably well Zed Fizz He needs number tweaks, nothing more.

How? They are arguably one of the weakest classes in solo lanes and only really shine late game thanks to Riot handing them a powerful tool to work with while making it difficult for any other class to use properly. Even so, most mages and assassins obliterate marksmen in all stages of the game unless the marksmen' team peels for them.

they are the only class that you absolutely need in your team, when you want to have a chance at winning.

Eh. I've seen so many break the meta ideas that pretty well dumpster on the typical bot lane it's not even funny. I think it's only been recently that marksman "could" be argued to be mandatory thanks to the AD itemization changes, but prior to that, meh.

Supports are hands down one of the strongest classes in the early game, sided only by assassins depending upon skill level. Marksmen are notorious for having one of the weakest of early games in the entire game outside of melee ADC' (Funny thing is, melee ADC typically are the only class that scales harder than the ranged ADC, the only trick is getting into their late game alive.) The only issue I've seen is that ranged ADC has been made slightly safer thanks to ward changes and AD itemization changes allowing them some power spikes earlier in the game. With Bloodthirster changed and it's damage nerfed and the health return on Doran's buffed, this allows ADC' to keep Doran's through building their crit as it now scales through the game and they don't need to rush lifesteal or especially BT. Reworks aren't necessary, just number tweaks. Drop IE AD by ten or twenty points and buff life steal items a bit so that it's more efficient to rush them again and voila. ADC' don't have their crit as early.

im not talking about removing his energy return. im talking about removing it when he MISSES his abilities. right now, he gaisn the energy return and attack speed for huitting the button. you can dodge his q, and he will still gain attack speed and energy return. even other energy champs dont have that. zed is required to his something with his e to get enbergy back for example. shen gets nothing if he misses his taunt.

a handful of counter picks in lane has nothing to do with counterplay. he puts down a soldier and all you can do is stay away fromt that general area. what happens if you dont paly the 2 or 3 champions that outrange him, or are able to flash over his wall?

you cant be playing this game long. adc are by far the strongest class in the game. riot gave them the second highest damage potential in the game and made them far too self reliant. between their inbuilt kiting tools, summoner heal and lifesteal, theyre able to 1v1 most champion types in the game and kite them around indefinitely if they dont royally screw up. thats not even accounting for supports and cc tanks protecting them.

and theyre by far one of the strongest classes in early laning. pit a melee against a ranged ad and watch him get bullied around with barely any chance to cs. if you dont get massive babysit from your jungler against these guys, youre basically screwed.

champs like ezreal, lucian, tristana or jinx make it even hard on more mobile champions.

and even the lategame scaling between melee carries and ranged carries isnt always in the melees favour. in one of my last games, a draven scored the highest crit in the game with freaking 2200 damage.

as far as non meta combos go, this isnt even a discussion. a team without a ranged ad might ocationally win, but will have the lowest possible chance of winning between any team combination. if you go into a game without a bruiser, your chances at winning are actually higher than taking one with you. the win chance without mages or tanks varies only slightly.

supports are only as strong as the carries theyre walling off from their opponents. hteir own impact is less, when the ranged ad is weaker.

Now that I can understand and even back.

Ranged skill shots aren't hard to find in league. As for Azir' own skill shots, that can again be chocked up to numbers and the possible need to reduce the range slightly.

you cant be playing this game long.

Since the halfway mark in season three.

adc are by far the strongest class in the game

Late game, yes.

riot gave them the second highest damage potential in the game and made them far too self reliant.

Is that why they need a babysitter during laning phase?

between their inbuilt kiting tools, summoner heal and lifesteal, theyre able to 1v1 most champion types in the game and kite them around indefinitely if they dont royally screw up.

Late game, again yes.

and theyre by far one of the strongest classes in early laning.

falls over laughing Bahahaha!!! Now I know you're joking!

pit a melee against a ranged ad and watch him get bullied around with barely any chance to cs

Is this why Bruisers and tanks dominated top lane for four seasons and are only now finding competition from not marksmen, but mages for domination in top lane?

and even the lategame scaling between melee carries and ranged carries isnt always in the melees favour. in one of my last games, a draven scored the highest crit in the game with freaking 2200 damage.

Yeah, Draven is meant to do stuff like that. I think top crits go between him, Yi, Tryn and Cait. But there could be someone else higher, not sure, haven't looked too deep.

supports are only as strong as the carries theyre walling off from their opponents. hteir own impact is less, when the ranged ad is weaker.

... Pardon? You do realize that a support vs a marksman in lane would typically mop the floor with them. Marksmen are late game power houses, this is how it's meant to be. Recent itemization changes have given marksmen safer laning phases, this could be a problem. But to sit there and act like marksmen are the most powerful class in all phases of the game is literally one of the most insane claims I've ever heard since I joined this game.

Out of all the champs mentioned so far in this thread, Urgot is the only one I can agree that needs a rework to make him competitive...

Yeah we get it you dont like those champions for some reason but thats definitely not all of the champs that need reworks nor do all of those champs need reworks. BTW counterpicks are not counterplay.
