The sustain on nasus is starting to get a bit silly...

Alright im not here to just be all like "susan to op bleh blah bloo" but I cant be alone here when I say everything coming out this season is starting to make his sustain in lane a little overbearing. If he goes all the way down the ferocity tree he can get feast, vampirism and now the new warlords bloodlust giving him like 16 or 17% lifesteal right off the bat (including passive and runes if you have them). If he goes down resolve he can get recovery, runic armor, perseverance, and grasp of the undying plus being allowed to get biscuits while ALSO having a passive that can go up to 20% more lifesteal. Oh and on the off chance you get a gank from your jungler or you're able to expend all your mana/health trying desperately to keep him starved of stacks he just teleports back and its the same song and dance all over again. On top of that once he gets spirit visage just forget about killing him...at all.

Like honestly in all my years of playing league nasus has never been this annoying and no one is ever happy to see a nasus other than the person actually playing nasus cause instead of playing league it turns into playing a damn war of attrition where you have to focus all your resources on nasus while having 4 other people to worry about OR race against the clock to try and end the game before nasus just pulls an auto win from doing nothing but farming.

I rarely have problems with nasus, Normally Even if he gets stacks, the hybrid carries and large DPS adc's are able to take him down before he can do much damage, this is my experience at least i could be very wrong.

hm .. IIRC 17% from mastery is the top end as it scales with missing health ... you ever thought about item 3123 / item 3165 ?

Nasus is just a farmer who excels at split-pushing and mid-game power spikes. Either play a ranged harass champion and punish his lane, like Teemo, Lulu, Lissandra, Pantheon, or play a hard CC tank like Malphite, Naut, or Maokai. It may seem counter intuitive to go tanky, but as long as you have an in-meta damage jungler such as Nid, Graves, or Elise, you basically set up free ganks to keep his farm down. Similarly, Nasus doesn't have very good botlane TP ganks, so just make him TP to lane, and just go get your ADC a double kill at 10 minutes.

But the biggest change this season is game length, which directly works against Nasus, making all your points irrelevant.

It really doesn't matter if he can survive the first 20 minutes better now when the game is already over by then.

And if you can't push Nasus out of lane or kill him with any of a dozen champs that counter him, the problem is that you're just bad with those champs. His sustain is not so high that he can tank Panth spears all day, I promise.

I think that the sustain wouldn't be too bad if nasus was punished for hiding under turret. If a Nasus realizes he can't beat you outright at any point, The almost immediate reaction is to turtle under tower. And the second the lane gets pushed he gets his stacks anyway. And he can quite easily freeze the lane there. Personally I think if he got less stacks well farming under a turret. It would fix the lower elo problem, without hurting his play in the upper ranks. Maybe the further from turret he is the more stacks he gets from the last hIt, maxing out at 4 or so. This would force him out into the lane more often, or at least make it so he can't just turtle under tower for 6 minutes and suddenly go from getting destroyed to destroying you. Essentially making his play about risk like most every other champ. As is it doesn't matter how badly he starts off, if you make it to the 20 minute phase and your team isn't significantly ahead, he can just split push, teleport to any lane where there's free farm. And quickly become at best a headache, at worse a death sentence.

He is pretty ridiculous. Barring a Teemo matchup I usually just rush one defensive item to counter my laner and after that it doesn't matter who they are, they can't kill me, so I just ignore them entirely and farm while getting back obscene amounts of hp on every hit.

Nasus is definitely stronger this season. Not sure how anyone hasn't noticed it.
