Can we remove thornmail already?

In what world is it okay for someone to be rewarded for making a mistake and on the other side someone be punished for doing what they are supposed to? Tanks like malphite and rammus build this and on top of being nigh unkillable with how much armor they stack they build this, so I can gladly kill myself by auto-attacking them when I see how much damage I don't do to them.

This item does not belong in league of legends, either rework or remove it.
