CDR is more important on support items than health, ad and/or ap

While I am glad that there are ad support items and they are planning to add mana or health regen on all of them, I hope that they can consider removing some health and ad/ap and give CDR back as well.

The problems of AD and AP is that some support champions have really low ratio or use of extra damage stats in general.

item 3857 ---------> Leona Braum Taric Alistar They would benefit from CDR than AD. Also, CDR itemization for these champions are also hard. item 3853 --------->Nami Lulu Karma They have low AP ratio to benefit from them when compared to mage support. CDR, on the other hand, every support champion, including mage benefit from it.

the game needs less cdr and you should have to build it to get it. not just get it for free.

Hard agree. Remove the ap and ad on tank support items and give back the cdr.

Tbh the issue isn't exactly that. If you increase the CDR of support items it just means that supports get their CDR cap....faster

What we really need is a way for supports to scale MORE towards late game (and Im not talking about damage). Giving a way for supports to exceed the CDR cap or giving them more utility options such as bigger heals or more "CC" is what supports need.

I would love a KeyStone in inspiration like this Divination

  • X% CDR above the cap reduces damage done by X%, and increases the CDR cap by (X/2)% that amount.

Suddenly, supports can go to 50%, maybe even 60% CDR (while having their damage reduced by 20-40% meaning mages can't abuse it)

yep I miss the cdr dearly

CDR is valuable for mage supports too. (Brand Fiddlesticks Karma Lux Morgana Swain Veigar Velkoz Xerath Zyra ) Their damage won't be as high as mid laners anyway so they need CDR to use their cc, shield or poke.

Nami Except that i play nami rush ap and max W and spam it off cooldown because i have an item 3003 first item by time im 1.5 items done ive already counter balanced the negative 14% of w and its doing more each bounce. Low ap ratios my left nut

It’s to the point they should make CDR scale with level. Removing all items that give CDR. Because having 45% in less than 12 min is not balanced.

So many other core support items have cdr on them though. It'd be wasted stats to have them on support items.

On an enchanter you get 15% from mastery unless you need to run bone plating, you get 10% from athenes, 10% from redemption, and the remaining cdr from either boots or Zeke's or Ardent. I think health and Mana Regen on the items is good enough tbh, since it can impact your trading.

AP is also not bad to have on enchanters. It's not amazing but I don't hate having AP on my items. Besides removing AP from spellthiefs hurts Lux and Zyra...

If you really need CDR why not just build it?

JRobin3112/26/2019, 9:23:51 PM1 votes

That CDR is more important for supports isn't a good enough argument to give gratuitous CDR to support items.

Greenlightx12/27/2019, 5:23:36 AM1 votes

supports are fine, they have a lot of utility, and CDR is the most strong stat in the game, nothing is more worrying like a good support, more CDR = more hooks, more slows, more stuns, more heals, and it would break balance if support get cheap options for cdr, mages would build those items too.

Salty Mc Feed12/27/2019, 2:31:09 PM1 votes

Is it really a huge issue that this item you get for free does not perfectly suit your champion? If you value cdr you can always use runes and items to get it. On enchanters, cdr is braindead easy to accumulate anyway.
