How many games does it take for Matchmaking to "settle in"?

Approaching about 50 games played and almost at a sub 30% winrate, just wondering when my MMR will settle out and place me where I belong instead of keeping me with Silvers and Golds. I don't mind losing, heck I just view every loss as Matchmaking being more likely to give me a win since it won't let someone lose forever and will eventually push me towards a 50/50 win/loss record.

But still, I'm ready to be placed with players closer to my skill level now. I know something is really screwed up because I'll lose 2-6 games in a row only losing 8 to 12 LP every time, and then suddenly be carried hard and given a +32 LP win. Sometimes even twice in a row so I suddenly shoot back up to 60-70 LP. Only to go back to losing several more games in a row, dropping down to Silver 3 0 LP until the cycle repeats.

I'm not asking for much, I just want to be placed with people around my skill level and not be used as a lead weight to bring down the average of higher skilled team mates.

This years is hard to say cuz of changes to the system. It used to be about 150 - 300 games. Because of the Veterans badge I assume they slow down Gains/losses around 100 matches.

Wow I looked at your profile. That's insane! Silver 3 is MUCH harder then anything in bronze for example, let alone iron. This is where fanboys at least should be saying 'Riot how do you explain this??' and normal people at Riot should just have some shame and get rid of MMR system. It's a joke. People look at this guy's profile. He don't need no shaming, he not saying he should be higher ranked, the game is clearly placing him way above his skill level and he doesn't know why...

My MMR climbed to 50% when I started abusing Vayne which I think I play fairly good, If I had kept playing more team oriented champs that I love to play then I would be 30% right now, silver div players are joke. I have stopped playing ranked because its boring to pick same champ all the time.

I would love to play soraka all the time as you do but its impossible with current matchmaking, either you pick hypercarry and gain control over match or you lose more than 50% of times.
