Cause the low elo supports are most likely still learning or are unable to understand the flow of the game. Cause a good support knows how to set up the plays and get his crappy ass team fed so that they CAN carry a game. Only consistently good supports will climb the ladder. It is by far the hardest role to carry as for you have to rally a team together and direct them with vision and advice, which in its self is the hardest thing to do because NA is the most toxic region in the world.

Support is a role that someone can perform at an average rate and not leave any major gaps in the teams overall performance. A few wards, decent peel/engage, and being out of position and soaking up damage/cooldowns is all the team needs to perform well.

also a lot of teams don't always fully utilize the extra effort a good support puts in. Deep wards mean nothing if the team doesn't use it to counter jungle, look at minimap, or make decisions. Engaging when you are the only one who sees the split second gap in their defenses can throw a team fight if no one follows up. People can still fail to bait or screw up sup or sup and jungler ganks. A sup can be amazing only to have their adc get you both killed and have you both behind for the majority of the game.

Sup is the hardest role to carry from, and as such it often breeds laziness. Ive seen a lot of supports who are ranked at gold/plat(Im unranked) or on big hotsreaks who can only hit the easiest of skillshots, cannot create plays, fall horribly behind in the vision game, only to still think they are hot stuff. Getting raged at your own/enemy support because they carried "carried" their scrub team(cuz 30% of your hooks/pulls, 10 passively placed wards and building damage while doing less than their tank sup is carrying) is one of the only sure fire things to get me to rage. Sup is not about applying mechanics to an extreme, its about applying your mind to extremes. You need to calculate threat and potential of all 10 players while the rest of the team focuses on orb walking to get in free damage, landing skillshots, staying alive when one skillshot could delete you, etc. Ignorance/temper should not be among your vices as a sup/team focused role

I love supporting, but the Ranked scene gets me so angry I turn toxic and I don't like the feeling, so I either duo-queue or just stick to normals. If by the random change I soloq it, I go Annie support and if my ADC is ass I take the CS and carry it myself.

Probably because most high elo's don't have much interest in the boards
